Issues with project waterpump

I have a 2014 Montana that came with a project Waterpump. I can't get it to work. I filled the water tank, turned on all the faucets, and then turned on the pump. I can hear it but no water flowing after 5~7 minutes. Any thoughts and where I'm doing wrong.

I have an appointment for my 2014 Montana next month at our dealer for same water pump problem.

If mine is disconnected from the fresh water tank line and instead pumped out of a 5 gallon bucket of water it works great. Therefore, the water line that goes from my fresh water tank into the fresh water pump is either not connected right at the tank or could have a split/hole in it along the way.

Anyhow, that line is inside the underbelly and travels back to the rear of the unit where the fresh water tank is located. I am still under warranty so I am going to let them drop the underbelly and fix this issue.

Had to pour water in the winterizing line with the pump running to prime the pump one time. Then switched it to the water tank and it started pumping. That was 2 years ago and have not had to do it again. Pump works every time now.

From this and other comments you have made I'm thinking you have a 'wet bay' (compartment where water connects) and a 'water panel' where you open/close various valves/switches that allow for city water use, filling of fresh water tank, pump use etc.

IF that is the case.......you must be sure that the valves/switches are properly set are you will never get the pump to move water thru plumbing system.
If you have a fill valve/switch and it is not in correct position for pump use the pump will suck water out of fresh water tank ad then flow back to fresh water tank via that fill valve just going 'round robin' and will not build up any pressure in plumbing system

I had a similar problem once.

The pickup line connected at the pump was tight but a little on the cross threaded side, allowing air to be sucked into line.
I could hear it trying but no water until I took line off and restarted it.

Look for loose fitting in front of the pump.

I open the low point drain for the cold water side.

That might be something. When the dealership checked Mr out last year they said if we leave the switch one way or another I'll never have to worry about having hot water. It will always be on. maybe that's something I'll try it tomorrow in daylight

You would think by now I would have success. Luckily I have land water. My wife said it worked last summer but I'm not so sure. Hate to visit RV shop for something so simple. I'll keep trying

are you filling up the water heater ? I don't get any water until the heater is full or bypassed

I left the water pump on for a week once with no water in the tank.
No apparent damage.
Drained the battery, though.

Wow. I can be quite silly at times. But all laughing aside I gave this a shot with no water. Should I leave it on for 10 minutes or can I burn out pump

He means the closest faucet, the faucet nearest the water heater.

When u say closet faucet are you implying the lines installed for possible washer and dryer
