As we look at the various fifth wheel trailers available I would like to know if there is a preference between the two suspension systems. We are looking at at 5er with a 14000 GVWR, your input is welcome.
Thanks
Bob

IS suspension is the best money Iv'e spent since getting involved with an RV. It takes two days of labour reinforcing the frame measuring it all up ,fabricating four fixtures installing them and doing an alignment. There has been much talk about the height of new 4x4 trucks being higher than older models. They also take this into consideration when measuring to install the fixtures. When you leave there shop your 5er is perfectly level which gives you more ground clearance at the back end. You wouldn't put this on a 10,000 lb. trailer but I wouldn't be without it on a 15,000 lb. trailer. I,m not saying it was cheap but I will say Mor/yde gave me good value for the money.

Just got back from NW Florida anf the roads in Birmingham Al. are very rough on the concret section going north on I65 over Red Mountian. The point I have is that the wife left water in the dog dish and voer the 379 mile trip there was water still in the dish and none on the floof with the Mor-Ride IS system. on the 2012 Big Sky 2625re @ 15K.

I just sold a 9600gvw 5er with ezflex and got a 15k gvw 5er with morryde lre - the center equalizer piece. The ezflex did very very good and it's cheap and easy. The lre is 100% effective at preventing any bouncing. Both 5ers have shocks. The ezflex was still a big improvement and kept everything in it's place on the counter tops. It did what I wanted it to do. Did the ezflex 4 yrs ago and no rubber problem. Craig

We have the Mor/ryde " IS "and it's great, but a bit pricy.

We've got the Dexter EZ Flex system and have had no problems at all. We've had it going on 4 years now, and with over 20,000 miles on the rig, it still does its job.

Dexter definitely had some issues with their rubber bumpers. However they do seem to have that sorted out now. I put on my replacement rubber and they are much different. I don't believe they'll need to be changed again.

I do believe that it was the best money I've spent. It smooths things out very noticeably, especially over bridge joints and sharp edges like that. I no longer notice when the 5er wheels now go over the joints like I did before the EZ-Flex installation. Excellent bang for the buck.

There are several Mor Ryde suspensions. Are you talking about one of their equalizer systems or the best there is the Mor Ryde IS system??

No experience with either but I do have the Trail Air Equa-Flex suspension on my 5'er. Rides far better than any other trailer I've towed.

I don't know about the Mor ryde but I had the Dexter ez - flex about 2 years ago and they were having problems with the rubber and I had to replace mine twice and finally got tired of taking my suspension apart and tossed them and got the trail air egua flex and I have had good luck with it. I hear the Mor ryde is also a good systems. Just my opinion and experience.
