My 5th wheel tires are LT235/85R16 LRG with very low mileage but 8 years old. So, time to replace them. What is generally considered to be a quality American made replacement brand?

There are also Provider tires. We have ~10K on ours without an issue and are very happy. Not American made, but good reviews everywhere. You'll find it difficult to find an American made tire in that size/rating. 4,080# capacity.

Put Sailun s637s on my 2015 Jayco last spring before leaving for Alaska. 10,450 miles and they look great, no problems on the trip. Given the roads I'm glad we didn't keep the original Towmax tires.

The Goodyear G614 RST is the only made in the usa LT G tire at 3750 lbs capacity/110 psi.

As mentioned the Sailun S637 is the most popular load G tire with commercial haulers because it doesn't cost both legs to purchase 4 or 6 of them. Its a commercial grade all steel ply carcass in a ST 235/80 or /85-16 G at 4080 lbs capacity/110 psi. This tire is a huge step up in quality and long term performance from the smaller ST E tires.

Other G tires is a Gladiator QR-35.... or a Provider by Taskmaster....or the Hercules H901.

If your trailer is dual axle and has 7000# axles none of the LRE Light Truck tires qualify for service on the 7000# axles.

I just purchased Bridgestone Duravis R250 LT235/85R/16 for my 12,000 LB. fifth wheel. Got them from Costco, they were less than 3 months old, and they're made in the USA. Only one trip so far, but they seem like great tires (very heavy!).

XPS ribs or Bridgestone Duravis 250s. I have had both and very happy with both. Currently running the 250s. Good luck whatever you decide.

I doubt you'll find an American made tire for your trailer. My Michelin XPS Ribs are awesome but the label says Made in Great Britain.

I second the Firestone Transforce, I am also on my second set. I change them out after 4 or 5 yrs and sell them for 1/2 price. Cheap insurance!

Sounds like Goodyear G614s.......3750# at 110psi

If so you have one other option in that size and 'G' rated
Sailun S637s.....4400# at 110psi
Not US made BUT getting very good reviews and lower priced then GY G614s

Sailun S637

People on the various forums have also had good luck with the Maxxis and Sailuns (although the Sailuns are not made in the U.S.). Even ST tires branded by U.S. companies are often made overseas, anyway.

I am on my second set of Firestone Transforce HT with no problems on either set. I do not go over five years even though there is no sign of wear. This brand was recommended by a tire shop owner, LonnieB, on the Montana Owners Club forum. Good advice for me.
