Poly or steel replacement fuel tank?

Looking at replacing the stock 25 gallon fuel tank on my 2015 F-350 SCrew short bed with a larger 50 gallon. There appears to be two good options available. Transfer Flow provides a 50 gallon replacement made of aluminized steel for $910. Titan offers the same size made of polyethylene for $1410. Both are mid-ship, include all necessary hardware and don't require removing the spare tire. I live in Oregon where the use of salt on the roads is not allowed. Opinions on which would be the better way to go?

Poly tanks do not rust on the inside.

We replaced our stock tank on our Dodge dually with a Titan tank. I believe the stock tank on our Dodge was poly. We did have the shield added. The only thing we dislike is that it takes a long time for the fuel gauge to drop. We had 2 transfer flow tanks before that and liked them also. We never have to stop for fuel during a day's travel.

Amazon has the Titan for 1210.88 and free shipping if you are a Prime member. Not sure how it works if you are not.

I have had 2 Titans and they make an excellent product and were very patient answering my questions. I did the install myself. One advantage is they are pretty light weight but are very tough.

If you plan to keep it go plastic for sure. No salt in Oregon, what about the deicers that are approved and that are just about as corrosive, not that it matters.

I have used "Aerotanks.com " direct replacement 60 gal tanks on my last 2 Ram CTDs. Very good company's to work with.

I am on my second truck with the Titan 51 gallon polyethylene tank...Like stated above, great addition to my "15" F-350
