I have a 2004 Forest River Cardinal 5th wheel. Last fall we had to do some maintenance to one of our slideouts (hadn't been greased in who knows how long - we bought it used last year) as one side had gotten off a cog or two on the track.
That's all done now. On the way back from my friend's house where we worked on it, some of the sheet metal that we'd re-attached under the camper came down and was scraping on the pavement.
I'm not sure the best way to re-attach this. I'm thinking some big washers, perhaps?
And should I shove some insulation up inside the cavity as well? And should I use some sort of spray foam along the edges once I'm done?
My friend did all the work but I've been unable to get in touch with him about this yet.
One thing I did notice is that this section of sheet metal is all attached from the bottom. Other sheets appear to be tucked up inside the lip they attach to, but I'm not sure I could get this one to do that after-the-fact.
