Replacement Tires

Hi all! Just ordered a 2018 Grand Design 337RLS. Gotta drive approx. 500 miles to drop our old one off and pick up the new one. Before I do this I want to change the tires on my Komfort 3530FBH before I trade it in. The old tires wont be able to make the trip.
What does everyone recommend?
Currently st235/80r16 load range E.
Want something decent but cost effective.
Thanks

Did you order them online or local retailer? I am asking because I need some also.

Lol! The tires are 7 years old needed replacement last year. Dealer is giving me a sweet trade in price so why take the chance. I ordered the Carlisle tires $77 a piece free shipping. At least I'll have piece of mind. Thanks for the info

Haha. Good one. My thoughts as well.

I had Carlisle RH's on my old Komfort. 5 years old and just starting to show some weather cracking, and that's in AZ. I'd've run them another year, no problem. Even though they had a 70+ mph rating, I never hit that, ever. Also, they were E tires on a rig placarded for D's. Always drive at 60-65.

I agree 100% with 'TIMETOROLL'.
If the tires look good, with only superficial weather-checking, I would inflate to maximum psi indicated on sidewall and drive them no faster than 55mph.
IMHO, as I have stated many times on this forum, the age factor is so blown out of proportion it is sinful. IMHO it is nothing but a marketing scheme to sell more tires. Anyone with much experience in the practical side of tire usage knows more failures are caused by tire abuse, or cheap, cheap tires, than caused by age.
Strange to me you will not find a manufacturer who recommends tires be scrapped at 5,6 or seven years of age, and they should know best!

I assume you are trading it in. If so why not contact the accepting dealer and see if they will reimburse you for putting good rubber on.
