Toy Hauler? For extra room, but no toys to haul?

Well I'm a newbie with the itch to upgrade from my 24' HTT (need more space, different beds, kids friends etc). Thought maybe a TT or FW with bunkhouse would be nice. But was out looking today and the sales guy say "what about a toy hauler". Would I be crazy to get a toy hauler wo toys? Any good recommendations for this? Like the extra beds and room for kids/dog. Would like to keep it around 10k lbs and under 35'. If I do upgrade will need new TV, so that's not an issue (probable 350,3500).

i just switched to a 3895 voltage from a bunk house. the beds are bigger and couchs are bigger and seem to have a better layout then most bunk houses.
good luck with your choice

We've had ours for over a year now, and not one toy has been parked in our TH. Makes a great bedroom for the kids, and a great storage area as well. We love it! We went to the Dayton RV show this past weekend, and I fell in love with the next TH I'd like to have (YEARS down the road), the XLR Thunderbolt!

Go for it. Just make sure the garage has air/heat and a door that closes.
In my life I've spent my money on women, booze, Harleys, guitars and traveling, the rest I just wasted...

I didn't end up getting a TH but sometimes wish I did. I liked the models with the closed off garage the best as they can make a great "mud" room for when you are out in the sticks in wet/snowy weather. Just lock the main door and make every body come through the "garage" and you will always have a nice clean trailer!

I have my toys and love them but there are alot of times I use mine just for work so I travel with it empty alot of times also. It is an awesome move IMHO. Who knows if you ever wanted toys or get some in the future you dont have to upgrade. Good Luck in your search!

Have not regretted buying our TH? We have no "toys" per say but it sure is nice to haul the bikes, pit, ice chest and whatever else is needed for a particular trip.

Nothing incorrect by getting a TH even if you don't have toys. If you get the set-up with the 2 beds in the garage area that raise to the roof and can be lowered for sleeping, and then you if get the bottom bed that can be folded up to make a forward and backward facing couch ... wow! You got the best of all worlds: Extra storage, extra sleeping room, extra space, all kinds of possible configurations, couch for lounging, drop down that back door ramp, hang a screen and watch all of nature! We've considered Toy Haulers for a long-long time now, just never made the plunge yet. And we don't have toys either.

Go for it! Live the dream!
