This is always a fun thread to watch so I thought I would start one here.

Loaded trike perfect winter storage. 40 pack of bounce for critters and locked up till spring

Went to run some fuel through the fuel station pump and lines when the plunger stuck open. Had to repaired the nozzle. .22 bore cleaning brush was a perfect fit for the gummed up plunger bore.

Fixed the fuel pump gears (belt sander). Took some good pictures of that, is there a sticky somewhere on how to access them? I couldn't find one so I pulled the whole pump assembly, totally unnecessary. Happy to write it up.

Replaced the fuel tank filler hose, the old one has gas seeping through. Pretty easy once the tank was drained.

Put all new caulk on the filling station outside and inside, reused the existing cover (super strong metal) and resealed that too.

New 6V batteries (2), old ones lasted 6.5 years. Took that opportunity to clean up and repaint the tongue of the trailer. Used an Ace rust preventative flat black paint that I used on the frame last year, it seems to hold up well.

Touch up a few spots on the roof with self-leveling Dicor.

Touch up a few spots with silicone on the outside of the trailer.

Seven new Bridgestone Duravis R-250 tires on 7 new 16" rims. So nice to no longer have ST's on there!

Tore the Onan carb apart (again) and cleaned the sludge out of the bottom that was preventing the fuel regulator from opening. It worked fine two weeks earlier when I tested it but not Halloween. All working now (funny how much better it works with fuel actually reaching the engine). Lucky for me the wife had a plan B for dinner that didn't need a microwave.

Also bought a spare fuel regulator in case cleaning it isn't enough one day. I was a little shocked at the amount of varnish on the inside of the carb, it came off with spray but I'm questioning the gas I have in the trailer (and the quality of what comes out of the pump in CA.)

I swapped a propane tank and changed out more bulbs to LED. Now to hook the propane back up and see if there are any leaks, and try and figure out the fridge on propane.... just got the trailer a few months ago, first trip is February. Also need to find some clear replacement lens for the porch style lights.

Yea, they automatically stop working at 13 months......Is that just a warranty poke or do you have bad experience with self-adjusters?

Mostly warranty poke. As a mechanic for 25+ years I can tell you the rust and dust lock the auto adjuster up in no time.

Yeah, mine is a tri-axle too. No "toy toy-hauler" here! 🙂

Braking performance has never been an issue for mine as long as I keep them in adjustment. Last long trip I thought the truck was having to work too hard. Hence adjusting the trailer brakes this week.

That's a lot less money than I've seen bandied about. Most of the figures I've seen have been up around $3000 for all the equipment and installation. I would agree that getting a disk brake setup for $1500 is a pretty decent deal. Of course my triple axle would be a little more.

About $1500 for a tandem axle setup. Installation extra. Pretty much a no brainer for full-timers. Almost worth the "huge outlay of cash" for better stopping performance on the "huge outlay of cash" spent on an RV and toys it hauls. JM2C
