What type of lubricant to use?

I use red grease for anything that's going to be exposed to the elements since it's more water resistant. The white lithium greases are great for parts that are protected by boots or seals.

Tried the white lithium spray on but I also use the truck to carry wood/feed sacks/hay/other products/etc which turns the white grease to a white gunked up grity mess.

If you're asking about the flat area on the hitch plate, get the nylon disc made for that; no grease. Other pivot points use a lithium base grease.
