Annual cost to fulltime

I understand there is no right or wrong answer to this and there are many variables. My question is, What is the average amount you spent to live as a full-timer for one year?

$10,000 - $15,000
$15,000 - $20,000
$25,000 - $30,000
more?

Just remember, he didn't ask people to tell him what he would spend. He asked them what they spent. No one can tell him what he will spend, but those who keep records can tell him what they spent.

That's not to say whether or not that information will be especially helpful but it is an answerable question.

.
Data is only valuable when the basis for that data is known. Some posts here are giving only the costs directly related to the RV. Others are including normal living expenses. Still others are including expenditures that clearly are not tied to full time RVing, yet are in fact expenses that individual incurred. Using the "data" collected here to make any decisions or reach any conclusions would be a classic example of "Garbage in, garbage out".

Yes! I would be but you probably guessed that. Do it anyway it will catch on.

YES! it is I agree. So many on here just dont grasp the fundamental value of accumulating DATA. Regardless of the variables the Data itself is valuable and when put together a picture will form and give you context and good information.

All of this sniping is tedious and counterproductive and only exposes the limitations of those who engage in it on a regular basis.

Thank you all for your input.

In the future I will be sure to get on every thread that asks a question that I do not want to or don't know the answer to and tell the person asking for help or information that there is no 100 percent correct answer that could pertain in every situation therefore any answer anybody gives you would be meaningless. To those that answered in this way .... please find the shuffleboard pad and go there instead of irritating people you are not willing to help or have an answer for.

Thank you even more to those that did help by providing some average numbers that may help myself or others thinking about fulltiming in the future.

Nah. Don't imitate bad examples. There wasn't anything wrong with your original question. A simple answer would have sufficed with optional follow-up queries by you.

Take the best and ignore the rest.

I totally agree schlep1967, don't go down to their level. There are a few on here that are real grumpy. Either just ignore them or go back up to the top of the forum and block them so you don't have to read the garbage they respond with.

You asked a valid question. Continue to read forums like this and good luck planning for your future in full timing!

What about depreciation on the RV and personal vehicles? That is a cost even if you don't have to cash flow it in a specfic year. If you pay $50,000 per year in cash expenditures should we say it costs $50,000 a year or should we say $60,000 since there is going to be taxes that must be paid in order to have that 50K in cash. This would be a much more beneficial exercise if there was some context into what the OP was hoping to accomplish.

Budget Estimate

That's us! I hope it's helpful. We realized that we didn't put our annual car and RV insurance in that version of the budget, but we are paying about 900 to insure both all year (in Illinois). Our rig is a 1993 Pace Arrow and a 2005 Honda Accord.

So good of you guys to share your budget on your website, loved reading bits of it as well ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ Also Schlep, Gonewiththewynns.com Technomadia.com, Roadslesstravelled, RV-Dreams.com and some others such as Kirk on Escapees, Pastor Scott (sorry can't remember all their addresses. But these folks, have all been wonderful at sharing to help those of us going through the exercise you are. Oops almost forgot wheelingit.us another fabulous website.

Good luck with your plans, you can never have too much information but equally don't let too much analysis lead to paralysis, which is what we found ourselves into for a few years. Today fish tank has sold, hubby's F350 sold yesterday, showings on one of our revenue properties happening, so finally kicked myself hard up the butt and realized, nothing is forever so we are doing it. I can relate though Schlep as I wanted figures and lifestyle information to formulate a budget for ourselves, as we most certainly won't be living to the same levels we have in our SnB so it's good to see these budgets. Enjoy as I said before the contacts given above have been wonderful sharing caring folks we've found and I'm sure you'll find useful.

After 9 yrs of participating in these types of threads, I can agree that a lot of us don't appreciate being castigated for what we spend and therefore will no longer give a complete budget. Most of these degenerate into a "I'm more virtuous because we spend less than you do" race to the bottom.

If I choose to spend $20+ for good wine, how does that help someone who doesn't know or care about the difference between Petite Syrah, Zinfanndel, & Pinot Noir? What will matter are what we average for RV park costs and what strategies we use to keep the cost down; or how we get our mail & what that costs us, or how using loyalty cards at grocery stores helps lower our costs for fuel for our toad, etc. and I offered the OP some of these but that wasn't enough.

I still think the OP should tell us what his detailed cost are to live right now and be very specific so we can evaluate his lifestyle.
We need your Detailed information.
