We need to find out how fulltimers in Missouri register their vehicles with no permanent address. Are there mail-forwarding in Missouri that provide a legal address? I am still working for a few more years before hitting the road.

Well, once the house sells, we will be living full time in the 5er until I retire, but not always at the same place, hence the issue. They won't register without a permanent address (PO box is not acceptib le), which I will no longer have. May not be an issue if the house doesn't sell, but if it does.... Just trying to get all my ducks in a row before it happens.

We started fulltiming using a UPS Store address that we would pick up mail at while working in FL. First in a Corp Apt, then in an RV Park. We had the FL tags and DH's DL all using a UPS Store address. Same FL address we used on Tax Form.

We worked in MO for way more than 181 days one year and filed as NonResidents for tax year 2011, 2012 & 2013. Total time in MO - 4/2011 to 2/2012, then 2 more mos in 2013.

We did two consecutive projects, but didn't stay in the same RV Park for both. They never asked for anything to back up our address. Refund was Direct Deposited on time to our Bank that had FL UPS Store address as well.

You could set up the SD address and mailbox, but then you have fees to cover.

Finally after 8+ years, we've switched our residence back to previous state. There wasn't enough of a tax benefit working in multiple states and paying their State Income Tax. Now the DL, Tag fees, and Fulltime Insurance fees went down a little.

Our DD is collecting our mail and scans anything of importance or ships it to us. Closing it out at the end of the year and not renewing will save us another $400+ a year. We're letting it run a few months to give us time to switch any addresses that I may have missed.

Pick either South Dakota or Texas. If you are a full timer with no legal resident in Missouri, why try to keep it?

We have SD domicle (driver license), Montana LLC for Rig and Jeep, our Mailing address is in Oswego, IL (Susan's Daughter). Doing it this way, we do not pay the $$ to have mail sent to us by our Mail Service in Box Elder, SD. Susan and Dana talk over what it is the mail, if important, she will scan it and email it to us. Everything else is online anyway. Do it the easy way

We are still working full time, and MO considers us residents because we have jobs here, and spend more than 181 days in the state. I was planning on using SD as domicile, and pay state income tax in MO, but they also say that you MUST register your vehicles here if you are a "resident", but make no provision for having no permanent address. We plan to use several different campgrounds around, not just one place. I guess I need a lawyer to stay legal.
