Hello everyone,

My wife and I will be starting fulltiming in June of 2014. I am searching for a gift for my wife for Valentines day and it would be great to have it rv related or fulltime related. We are new to rving and of course will be new to fulltiming.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,

Stuart

I once bought my wife a new motorcycle.

She said it was better than diamonds.

But then again, she is special.

2006 Outback 27 RSDS

We also have with us two rescue dogs. A Chihuahua mix & a Catahoula mix.

Does she like to cook? Realize this could go the wrong way, but many people love new cooking gadgets.

The NuWave induction burners (small, round and lightweight - available online or Bed, Bath, Beyond) are great for an RV. Like a really smart hot plate. Got one for Christmas and it is terrific. ( I don't own stock in the company.)

Of course, then you need induction-friendly cookware, too.

S-n-L,
If you love your wife, buy your wife something she loves (not anything anyone else suggests). If she loves it she will want it to be with her fulltime (get it?).
Can you think of anything she doesn't have in the RV that she really misses (think as big as you can)? While things are different in an RV, love is exactly the same. Find that "thing" but don't buy it just because it has an RV printed on it. There is a special thing and you can find it, it just may take a bit of thought.
I bought my wife her favorite china one year and, while it's not a valentines day gift, I have a similar gift setup for your Feb. birthday and I know she will be excited. It's just us so it's not purchases meant to impress, only purchases meant to make our full time home feel like our home.

Love your answer!

How about a symbolic animal adoption from Yellowstone Park Foundation? Yellowstone gets much needed funds and DW gets a cute stuffed grey or black wolf, or cutthroat trout, and a certificate! Win/win!

BTW, order before 2/7 and they'll throw in some made in Montana chocolates!

Chocolate. GOOD chocolate. Valentine's day is meaningless without chocolate.

You can probably get it shaped like an RV if that's important...but BUY HER CHOCOLATE, whatever the shape!

What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

How about you qualify this statement by beginning it with "Some..."? The best Valentine's present I ever got was a chainsaw - Husqvarna at that!

Are you planning staying together for a while? I think you better consider something very personal. Otherwise you may me full timing alone. We have been together 49 years without generators or vacuums.

Did you notice I mentioned personal items, LOL. I am a wife who would say if we need a generator or any tools go and buy them. However, if you are buying me a gift, buy it for me, LOL It does not have to be expensive just make it for your wife. I got my own chest waders and boots for valentine's one year, very pleased..

Regardless of what YOU would like, make it a personal item just for her. NEVER get a vacuum sweeper, pots and pan, rolling pin or anything like that, unless you want to be sleeping in your truck ... in a different state!

Women love jewelry. If you get her a necklace and earnings, you can get one with a camper on it. You get the idea.

Here's something I got my wife one year. This was the start of becoming broke. After I got this, she wanted different ones ... with chickens, with dogs, with horses .... and I was going broke.... but it hit the nail right on the head!

So, if you haven't figured it out, yup... that's a purse. It's actually make out of blue jean material and machine washable. Full of pockets. I love the close-ups of the campers!

Soooo.... you want to get her something personal ... NEVER a vacuum sweeper ... NOT for a Valentines, birthday, Christmas, 4th of July, or any event. If you need a vacuum sweeper, just buy one ... but not for HER gift ... oh no!

A really nice journal to record your new lifestyle along with..... a camera

How about a cozy set of pj's /slippers along with....gift cards to a hair salon

( If your wife goes regularly now she may appreciate it especially when there are quite a few that are franchised across the country)

Zero gravity chair along with.....gift cards to a national book store
