We just bought a Thor Vegas 25' Class'A' on the Ford E350 chassis. It has the V-10, 305 HP engine with the 5 speed Torque Shift tranny. Even tho I have a Scan Gauge it doesn't monitor Tranny Temp. I will install a Tranny Temp gauge, but where and how to install the sensor? :?

Got the Tranny Tep. to readout by using a 'Alternate' Trans. Temp code. The Cylinder Head temp still no good.

Did you try both protocols, PWM and CANSF? Since you rig is very new to the market send a note to techs at Linear Logic and see what they say. It worked on my 2006 F53 chassis but there might be a different program function in the computer for the 2015 E350 series.

Weeelll... I re-entered the codes for the Tranny Temp XGauge and it doesn't work. Get no readout for that gauge. This is a new Vegas Class'A' with the Ford 305 HP V10 and the 5 speed Torque shift Tranny. I had a 2006 Class'A' With the 362Hp V10 with the same 5 speed Torque shift trans. This same ScanGauge worked fine for the Tranny temp. The website list shows that the gauge codes are the same. Any ideas???

I have the codes for the X-Gauge for your vehicle. if you would like a copy, just let me know where to send it.

Same as others said; I have the V10 in a 2006 Thor Hurricane and set up an X-Gauge on the ScanGuage for TFT. Took about two minutes.

Since the Gauge doesn't have a keyboard you have to scroll thru a list to select the number or letter you want. Easy to miss one zero in a string of several so write down all the numbers that have to be programmed and as you enter the digit cross it off so you don't loose track.

If you programmed if correctly the cold temp will be the same as air temp. At idle the temp will slowly rise to a bit over 100. Driving the coach push the temp up quicker. The 160 displayed on my Gauge was after a 70 mile drive down the interstate just after I pulled up to the house. First time I had an 8.5 MPG average which is why I have a pic.

Buying your tranny temp gauge....there has to be a "owners" or "installation" guide....follow that. All the info must be there....

Thanks for the ScanGauge info. I'll try to program it for Tranny Temp. Looks scary tho. Hope I don't blow the thing up. LOL

Scan Gauge will monitor the transmission temp but you will need to manually program it using the X-Gauge functions. Not difficult. I have my Gauge configured to display instant (MPH) and average fuel usage (AVG), cylinder head temp (CHT) and transmission temp (TFT). Ford Specific X-Gauge Programming. Use the CANSF protocols.

Go to the scan gauge site and look up the code under X-gauges for the trans.

1st post says he has a Scangauge and it does not show trans temp.

You have the Class C chassis minus the cab. Might be able to check with ford to see if there is a tapped port on the transmission or lines for a sensor. Some of the prep packages did include a port or a gauge in the cab dash panel. Most likely not for this package. The RUV really pushes calling it a class A. Based on chassis. Yes in that the cab is the body of the unit.

Just wondering have you had it weighted yet with it full of your gear and fluids. I know past E350 chassis that I worked on and owned were always close to being maxed out on the front axle.
