A/C drips sometimes thru the vent filter......

Anyone ever have this happen? Just occasionally and was assuming RV wasn't level or not enough of a pitch for condensation to run off the side of the RV. If this isn't normal, assume I need to get new gasket for unit and reset it. Thanks for any reply!

If the drain hole is too close to the rv roof by over tightening the inside bolts which would compress the seal, then the actual roof could block that hole.

Can't talk about the drain pain other than to say the one in our Coleman/RVP Mach 15 is plastic and thee's a drain at each end, meaning right and left as mounted on the coach. I don't recall your saying which make/model you have.

Follow up: Took cover off and cleaned coils front/rear with simple green. I notice the only drain hole in the metal pan was in the middle of the pan and was clear of debris. Is this the only drain hole? If camper is on slight angle, does the water simply go over the 1/4 height of the pan as it fills up? Maybe another hole or two in the pan beneath the fan area?

Had this happen recently as well and appreciate the timing of your post and the responses. Since this was the first occurance, I was attributing it to running the ac with the door open for an hour while cleaning and the water was the result of condensation on the inside. That is until I can check for plugged drains and bad gaskets.

Before I advise. I hope you didn't just turn off ac and packed up and travel down the road and noticed water... I have seen several types of leaks. 1 was because the unit wasn't level tilting forward with drainage blocked. Another one had to figure out how the cond fan was splashing water around. (Old unit). (Had foam loose that was siphoning like a wick to blow water to front of unit)? Or, (someone exchanged AC units inadvertently put cutoff foam on it when shroud was off and forgot to removed foam). Took 6 times to figure that one out. Had to be someone put foam up there to try to quiet unit somewhat maybe. Used RV. When you by these used RV's. You do not know what the hell was done before you buy it.

Unless it's new or recently cleaned... Go topside and clean it. Breaker off then pull shroud followed by evaporator coil inner shroud at front. Catalog the screws to put the right ones back.
Brush debris then spray both coil with 409 or similar.
Rinse clean with hose and fine spray nozzle. Use towels to keep rinse water out of coach. I use a license plate as deflector.
Find drain holes and make sure they are clean. Water you spray should drain fast.
Ducted? Make sure Defrost Sensor is in place. Run Fan On, and High
Non Ducted? You're a Beach Guy. No Freeze Sensor. Puts You in charge, set to High Fan only.
Clean Filters of course.

One of the four Phillips head screws was missing.....installed and will see next time. Also going to check pan on roof for drain hole clearing. As always, this is the BEST help-u-out site out there!

We were able to eliminate the issue by letting the Fan Run in the ON position rather than Auto.

If this is a newer, totally ducted system with return vents, and that's where you're getting the water, I'd give a totally different answer. Let us know.

Yes, maybe a new gasket or first, check the drain pan holes. They may be clogged.

Had it happen once on a new RV. There was a small leak between the input and output sides so water was condensating and dripping. Some HVAC tape fixed it.
