Alternative to "Waterless Wash Wax Mop"?

I'm camping today and the guy next to me pulls out this waterless mop and starts cleaning his RV - one side of his mop is wet which he cleans with and then flips it over to wipe it off. His RV looks slick as a whistle. So I go over and ask him about it and it's called the Waterless Wash Wax Mop by Aero Cosmetics. I do a search and the mop alone is $100, and with some extra mops and cleaner in a kit form it's $200 - yipe!

Is there anything similar at a much lesser cost? Thanks.

Another source for this product is Aircraft Spruce. It appears to me that you can get the needed items a few bucks cheaper. aircraftspruce.com

I have had my WWA system for about 60 days and also think it was worth the $$. It sure makes it easier to do my 42' coach. As previously noted, the motorhome gets bigger every year ;).

I use the WWA liquid with the mop for the areas above the belt line. For the lower panels and compartment doors, I use the cloths with the No Wet waterless cleaner/wax I have used for years since I still have 2 gallons of it. They both work well unless the coach is really dirty, then it gets a soap and water wash job.

I am a recent convert to WWA. Like others I've watched folks use it in campgrounds and have been very impressed with the results but didn't buy it because of sticker shock.

Previously, I've paste waxed and machine buffed the MH once a year. It always looks great, but it is a several day ordeal. Each year the MH seems to get a little bigger.

A buddy of mine bit the bullet and purchased WWA to do his fiver. He was blown away with the ease of use and results.

I took a hint from my friend who said that the first time you use WWA to spray it on, wipe it around the nooks and crannies with a damp cloth and hand wipe it off. On big flat surfaces I used the mop. It took me about 6 hours to do the MH. WWA goes on and wipes off with minimal effort unlike paste wax. The results were as good as or better than paste wax. With no wax residue.

As mentioned and stated in WWA instructions there is no polish in WWA. I did have to use polish on the chrome mirrors and front cap where I had some bad water spotting.

I then applied it to my 1991 Miata. The results were equally impressive. Used a little less than a half gallon to do both the MH and Miata.

I ordered directly from Aero. Got the kit shipped for $203. There isn't a grey market distribution for their products. The most impressive part of the kit was the telescoping handle. Very lightweight.

If you want to do it on the cheap. Buy a gallon of WWA and some microfiber towels. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks, Trainer... It wasn't clear to me from their website, so I thought it best to ask those that have "been there, done that". 🙂

Dutch,

There is no polish in Wash Wax All. Therefore, WWA will not repair a damaged surface such as faded gelcoat.

Had my gelcoat power polished to a high shine and then have used WWA to keep it shiny for several years now.

With no polish, WWA will not remove any of ones clear coat making it safe for use on any type of paint.

Does anyone have any experience with how the Aero kit/products perform on a gel coat finish that has lost its shine over the years? Would multiple applications begin to restore the shine? Or is a good shine from wax or an RMP/ZEP/Poliglow application needed first?

I also have the system and I think it is worth every penny. I use it on the coach and my cars.

I have been using the Wash Wax All for about a year, got in Quartzsite. Works great, just follow the instructions.

I use the 2 sided mop from Aero but like "The Solution" better than wash wax all, in my experiance wash wax all takes more effort not to leave streaks. The Solution is easier to get a streakless shine.
But I do like the wash wax all degreaser for black streaks.
