When we took delivery of our new "C", we paid attention. We watched and listened to the Dealer rep tell us "how to" do lots of things.
We read and re-read the manual. We thought we had a pretty good grasp on what we were doing.
UNTIL...... a plumbing "issue" caused us to discover ....
1.) The inlet hose to the strainer on the pump was NOT connected.
Then....
2.) After connecting we, we discovered that the conical washer was missing. (Never found it anywhere in the compartment.)
Then.....
3.) A continued leak, that resulted in a SOAKED under-sink cabinet, was located at the "cold water supply" to the kitchen sink, and it was discovered that ....
ANOTHER conical washer was missing!
NOW..... it was time to self-inspect the entire plumbing system.
4.) A flex-line was stretched and bent around a wood frame member, with a worn indentation to both the wood and the tubing.
5.) The same line passing through a rough-cut opening in a wooden panel with no insulation or grommet.
After contacting the manufacturer, I was directed to take the unit to the dealer and have them "go through" the plumbing. Apparently, I did a good job at the repairs, because I got a "Yerallset", and was sent on my way.
The good news is that the manufacturer has all these issues noted on "the file"..... after multiple contacts via email and phone.
My word to everyone is ..... play "INSPECTOR" and go back over the entire RV within those first days after you take delivery.
If you want me, I'll be outside on my mechanic's dolly, checking the undercarriage for a missing nut or bolt or hanger or .......
