Has anyone used their crock pot in the RV? I'm assuming its ok to use but just curious....
We are about to take our maiden voyage that's overnight and I'm planning the menu out.

I'm not the cook so I don't recall if my wife brought a Crock Pot along or not, but I do carry a heavy extension cord and a folding table. For things like the electric skillet we set it up outside. Most campground power posts will also have a regular 110 volt 15 or 20 amp outlet too. So I normally plug directly into that and the wife has done the cooking outside. My BIL and SIL and their kids often come with us with their TT and he had problems with plugged in electrical cooking devices pooping circuits inside the TT so he now does the same.

DW uses hers all the time! I have a fold up table and she enjoys cooking outside of the coach most of the time. I love her crack pot chili served with jalapeno corn bread and ice tea!

The only thing better than my two crock pots are my two Dutch ovens.

We just use ours after we arrive at destination, and we usually plug it outside the coach and on a table. Keeps the heat out of the coach. But we do not use it that much like some of you. They are OK, but not the greatest thing on earth. I would rather have a good rib eye steak barbequed on our Baby Webber. LOL!

We do so on a very regular basis. There is only one problem with it....
You end up stopping way too early for the day because of the aroma coming from the pot. ๐Ÿ™‚

X2! We put ours in the galley sink so it won't fall over, plug it in, enable the Xantrex prosine 2.0 and off we go!

We also do that with the bread maker (Not at the same time though.)

You need to keep your crock pot because we have been useing the NuWave for about a year almost every day and the clear plastic ring has cracked in about 4 different place. Never went through the dishwasher alway wash by hand, but we like it so well we will be getting another. They want around $50 just for the ring so it will be a new unit.

WE use ours all the time. DW puts something in the crock, sets it in the sink and we have supper ready when we stop for the night. Crock runs off inverter power.
Tis another fine day to serve in and for the glory of the Corps. Every day is a holiday and every meal a feast.

My wife uses our crock pot faithfully. There are many meals that can be prepared while out and about. We have never found a problem using one.

No problems. Suggest putting in on a wire rack from your oven to just slightly raise if off the counter top be sure it doesn't blister the counter top. Be sure nothing flamable is within 12 or more inches of the pot. Otherwise, put in all your favorite ingredients (I always add a few shakes of Mrs. Dash Original or Onion and Herb, puter on low, go out and enjoy your 8 hour day (put it on medium if you're only goning to be gone 4 housrs), and come home to a great smell and wonderful meal. If you're making beef stew, I suggest replacing any water with beef broth and DON"T USE STEW MEAT from the grocery. Get you some tender roast or tender steak cuts. Same with any Chicken stuff, use Chicken broth for the liquid. If you want a thicker gravy, add the necessary ingredients of your choice.

:C Been reading the forums for several months. Thanks for all the info available here. Taking our time planning to buy used and still lots of questions arise. There's no substitute for experience. Thanks for your honest input. Happy trails.
