Diesel Motorhome

if I can talk my wife into it, I think I might buy a nice used diesel and getting rid of our 1990 34' MH. I've been following a thread talking about the diesels having better quality cabinets and other things. One thing I notice is cabinets since I'm a ex cabinet maker and many cabinets I see are pure junk except the doors and they are just ok. Walnut is beautiful as well as cherry but probably wont be in my 75K cap price range. BTW Thats a nice kitchen

Mike, is it the color of the oak? Generally, I've always seen oak in lighter shades. Personally, I like a deeper stained wood like cherry or walnut but oak is certainly a nice wood.

it changes w/ the times....remember when WHITE cabinets were in style and WHITE couches ?

cabinets can be refinished.

I really like our Walnut cabinets and the Gillig Bus chassis under our Country Coach.

No slides but a lot of quality.

Our solid oak cabinets are as good as new after 20 years. In that vintage, Country Coach cabinets were second to none.

You may want to look at American Coach. I've had a 90's Winnebago Adventurer, front of the cabinets was solid wood but the ends were luan. I had a Newmar Mountain Aire, similar build quality to the Winnebago. I now have an American Tradition and the cabinetry is as you describe in your wish list. I have two friends that both have Tiffen Allegro Bays and the build quality of the cabinetry is similar to the Newmar and 93 Winnebago.

I have the 2000 Mt. aire and the woodwork is super. I think the older woodwork is better. My woodwoirk still looks new. Good luck. Roger
