Do you prefer a dinette to a booth? I'd like to hear opinions on why one would be better than the other......Thanks

Maybe it depends on your size. ๐Ÿ™‚ My preference is a booth. As has been noted, more storage and an extra bed. I also find a booth as comfortable as a chair and more cozy.

LOML and I prefer the dinette. It works better as a sewing table for her.

I think if I had a large MH with plenty of storage and other places to sleep for the Gkids I would like a table and chairs. However currently in a 33 ft MH or shorter I would want a booth for storage and sleeping. Also if you are not to large around the middle a booth is OK to get into and out of.

We prefer a table and chairs. When we were looking for a coach, that was a requirement. I like the flexibility. I am not a fan of sliding in and out of booths.

We like the table chairs. We can take the table off and place it in the center with chairs on each side for cards. It does make it a lot more difficult to see the other person's hand.

We prefer table and chairs. I replaced the standard booth with this one that will comfortably seat four when fully extended. We actually gained storage space over the booth setup.

Will post a pic when I can get it working

I'm actually replacing my free standing dinette with a booth,
1 because I'd like one more sleeping area if need be, and 2 for the additional seatbelt seats for times when we will have more than 5 passengers for day trips around town.

We've had both and prefer the table/chairs for the following reasons:

1) More seating flexibility in the ability to move the chairs around,
2) The table has the ability to extent for additional seating,
3) Chairs are more comfortable by providing the option to be closer or further away from the table and you do not need to climb out of them,
4) Looks and feels more like home, whereas the booth always felt like we were eating in a diner and
5) We now have space out of the traffic path for the fur kids food bowls.

Although the booth provided some storage and could be folded down for additional sleeping, these are features are something that we personally do not require.

I found getting out of booth to be more and more difficult/uncomfortable. When I put new flooring in I pulled the booth out and just left the table and added chairs. Much more comfortable now.

I would like freestanding table and chairs. I think the DW would also.

Booth: Pros..some storage underneath cushions. Cons..not comfortable.

Dinette: much more comfortable, much more versatile.

Had both...much prefer Dinette.

When the kids were young a booth dinette worked fine. Now that there are just two of us, we prefer the freestanding table and chairs in our current coach. It all depends on your particular needs.
