I've been trying to solve an intermittent plumbing problem for weeks. After we go to the gym we take a shower and we've had only hot water.

I replaced the Mowen shower valve. Checked and rechecked the hot water bypass valves. I pulled the new valve and turned the water back on to clear out the pipes. After reassembling everything we still had hot water no matter where we set the mixing valve.

Problem solved.
We are staying at a marina that has a temporary water line above ground while the permanent line is replaced. The line is black plastic. It does not cause a problem on cloudy days.

Don't I feel stupid.

Now that's funny.

Last time we went camping I told the wife to turn on the water heater. She was standing at the kitchen sink next to the water heater switch and said the water WAS hot. The next morning she got up first and took a cold shower. The water was hot the day before because it was 105 degrees the previous afternoon.

Pulled our motorhome in to get fuel, after I was done I got back on the interstate and about a mile down the road a car told me to pull over. I had left my wife back at the station; I still have not lived that one down.

That was a good try.LOL

First time taking out our new to us motorhome I was trying to decide whether we would take the toad on the inaugural trip. Shouldn't be a problem. Hooked it up and off we went. Traveled about 10 miles to the interstate. As I sat at the light waiting to make a left onto the entrance ramp I glanced into the rear camera screen and the toad was gone. All I could imagine was it veering off into a field or worse yet into oncoming traffic. My heart raced...then I realize my new motorhome had 3 cameras and because I had the turn signal on it had switched to the side camera. It was only a split second before I realized what was going on, but it was long enough to take 10 years off my life. I told my DW what had happened and she couldn't stop laughing for the next hour and a half. She still has a good laugh about it every once in a while. Geesh!

I did the exact same thing soon after we purchased our MH. I was pulling a golf cart on a trailer and after making a left turn pulling out of the campground I thought I had lost it.

I happily removed the "Remove Before Flight" tag from the steering wheel, put it away, and proceeded to try to motor off the jacks. Guess what that tag meant?

One Sunday morning we were packing up to leave and my full slide wouldn't move. I went over all of wiring and checked all the fuses and couldn't find anything wrong.I didn't want to call an RV service on a Sunday. When all else failed I read the directions on retracting the slide. One of the first thing it said was to close the rear tv that hinges out. Low and behold the TV was not latched and there is a magnetic switch to disable the slide so you don't take out the TV. Has worked great ever since. When all else fails follow the directions!;)

1. Forgot to chock brand new TT first time setting it up....was on the phone with someone giving me pointers and he still mimics me " oh **** oh **** hold on"....caught it in time.

2. Same TT went to new campground, messed up layout of site and had to go down a steep hill and come back around. Turned to sharp and dropped right rear wheels into ditch I couldn't see...first indicator was the sound of trailer on gravel...couldn't do anything but drive forward through it. Luckily mostly just skirting and light damage but sound was so loud entire campground heard.

New tow bar with jeep wrangler toad. Unhooked at campground, (was so easy, told DW I got this), ended up chasing the jeep down the hill, DW used to back up the toad with the old rigid tow bar.

Drove 700+ miles thru west and north Texas and got home and realized that I forgot to put the airbags in automatic. Drove all the way on the rails and shocks. Still not a bad ride.

First outing of each year I re-fill the FW tank from the CG site. Well it holds 100gals which takes awhile. So I usually finish the outside setup tasks and move inside. After the tank is full, it overflows. Head outside to start dinner to hear running water and see a lake forming around the coach. Oh yeah, just turning off the water isnt enough. I need to wait until the tank depressurizes. Done this two years in a row so I moved to Fl so I wont have to empty the FW tank during winterizing process.

What is it about that power cord?!?! We must have drove 3 miles before we realized we were dragging it behind us. Also turned switch to tank fill instead of city water when we did NOT want our fresh tank full. Wondered what the neighbor was so excited about, running at us waving her arms, until we saw the water gushing out underneath our RV. We just try to look at these things as learning experiences:W
