First time post: tire issues inside pass. rear

This is my first time posting and I need help.
I have on 03 4winds 31p class c MH ,2 years ago I purchased 7 new off brand tires (Mastercraft) I have now had 3 damaged tires in the inside pass. rear The tire dose not go flat it delaminates part of it. What to do now
1. larger load range tire
2. name brand tire
3. check for any thing causing damage to tire. (breaks replaced May 03)

Specs.
I am over weight
frt. axle 3780 lb - rv rate 4600 lb
rear axel 10300 lb - rv rate 9450 lb
trailer axel 5720 lb - trailer rate 7000 lb
I pull a 20 foot enclosed trailer
frt tire pressure 65lb
rear tire pressure 70-80lb
trailer tire pressure 50 lb
Curt weight distribution hitch

Question;
Is break drag enough heat to dissipate threw the rim to the tire to over inflate the tire?
Is 10 lb + - an average range for tire pressure during travel.

My BIL has a 2003 29' Bigfoot. That he tows a toad with. He was having blowouts in the rear. Finally figured out that reason was using to much braking on down hill/mountain runs. This caused a lot of heat. He now uses the transmission to control these downhill runs speed. No more blowouts.

I agree with above posts. You are overwieght and under pressure on tires. I have an 03 Chateau 26' and I have a class III hitch rated for 5000# which is max for the 3500 GM chassis. I have my tires at 70 lbs front and 80 on the rear with is max for the duals.

You are 1000lbs over weight on the rears and running way low on pressure. Trying to pull 7000lbs so drop a grand on your loaded weight, drop 2K on the trailer and buy some good tires.

What SIZE tires do you have on your Class C??

A larger size in any brand of any given load range will be rated for more weight than the next size down. The stock size on most E450 Class C motorhomes can be changed out for the next size up and you gain enough higher weight carrying capacity to solve - or definitely help solve - your tire reliability problem.

Most owners - and tire shops - do not consider this when replacing tires on a Class C motorhome ... they just go with the "stock" size.

That being said, there is no substitute for high quality in Class C tires regardless of the size and load range considerations. Don't skip on tires to save money ... get the best you can possibly squeek out the money for ... even if you have to charge them and pay for them over time.

Exactly right- that unit is rated for 5,000 pounds maximum tow. The trailer in the O.P. is 2000 pounds over that, and the moho is overweight, too.

Sounds like that particular wheel position is just the "canary in the mine shaft" here- it probably doesn't matter what tires go on with that kind of overloading of the rig itself. Everything on it (axles, shocks, what have you) is designed for a specific load limit.

It seems to me that unless the weight comes down, going up in load range on the tires will only result in a DIFFERENT part of the rig collapsing under the load.

Yes the trailer has breaks on both axles.

You can use a Cat scale with only driver side on the scale and front and rear weights. Subtract those weight from the axle weights to get the passenger side weights.

That passenger side inner dual is the closest tire to the tailpipe. I'm not saying to move or insualate the tailpipe - you have bigger issues than a patch like that will solve. But I think it's possible the extra heat there would be enough to help that one tire fail soonest. To fire the first warning shot as stated above.

Got Brakes on that heavy trailer? The coach brakes are rated for max Vehicle weight of Coach alone, not the Combined Coach + Trailer weight.

The passenger inside dual takes a beating.

When you run off the road on that side which is easy to do the inside tire is carrying All of the weight. That is quite a load.

Get the proper load range tire. I put in a little extra air in the rears for just that reason.

Thank you for your help and I am in the process of shaving 850 lb off my rear axle.

My GCWR is 20,000 lb and I am at 19,540 lb
With this much constant weight are load rang E tires enough?

You may have more weight on the passenger duals than the tires are rated for. Get all four corner weights at a scale. The inside dual does not get as much cooling.

Maxing tire pressure (label on the tires) on rear duals may help--use same pressure on both sets.

So, to recap, you are running on cheap tires while overweight and towing a 7,000# trailer.

First, I would make sure that you do not have any specific problem with the RRI position. For example, a grabbing brake, wheel bearing issue, axle problem, etc., since it is indeed a little strange to have three tires in the same position let go in the same fashion in two years.

Second, get a set of quality tires with the proper load rating.

And third, you should really have a solid heart to heart conversation with yourself, analyzing your operation, and deciding whether what you are doing is the safest course of action for both yourself and other people on the road. I don't believe that a 30' Fourwinds has that amount of towing capacity. Running that far overweight on garbage tires is a very risky proposition. I think you are very lucky to have only had a couple token blowouts. Consider those "warning shots" that something is seriously wrong.
