Florida Golf (without breaking the bank)

DH and I are (happily) spending the early months of 2014 around Orlando...and we love to play golf. Any research I've done about how much a round of golf costs has been discouraging. Anybody know where we can play golf without having to mortgage the house?
Suggestions much appreciated.

I live in Zephyrhills, FL. Golf here is rarely more than $30 for 18 holes with a cart. Many courses are $25 and if you play in the afternoon, cheaper yet.

I have never been to Florida so I don't know what the State of Florida allows? Here in Arizona, the State of Arizona, allows me to buy a Arizona ID Card for $12.00 (even though my Drivers License is registered in WA. State) all AZ. wants is your $12.00 . This card is honored by all golf courses and your allowed to play golf for the resident rate. Which is a huge discount!

If golf is the driving force but the costs are too HI....travel somewhere else! The tires on your buggy can roll you almost anywhere. Try the southwest USA

2nd TGO in Titusville. Very nice park and great people. Golf was $35 before noon including cart I think. Nice pro shop, restaurant, RV sales and repair. Again, great people. (disclosure, I am prejudiced, I own property there!)

My full timer friend plays and says the best bang for the buck, is to stay in an RV Golf Resort and has done so during the winter months near the space center and Titusville. If you're interested in doing that, PM me and I'll run down the name of the place. I do remember it looking pretty nice.

That would be The Great Outdoors in Titusville. I don't play golf, but own a lot there. Love it.

There ya go and yes, that's the one.

Forget Orlando, move to 'The Villages' 40 courses all free.

The Villages have RV spaces???

No there are several RV parks very close and a state park.

But you must be a guest of a resident to play.

Just drive your RV into one of the gated communities and park it on the street. I'm sure they will not mind. :h

Know anyone that lives in The Villages (just north of Orlando)?
The Rate Schedule is pretty good if you're a resident or play with a resident.
