I've been lurking on here for months while I fixed up my dad's old 1976 Dodge Brougham. I love it, but just not mechanically inclined enough to take it on longer trips--think I need something a little newer. Do you guys think this is a fair price or am I dreamin? I trust the opinions on here--especially you Leeann and Trish ๐

patsquatch73tioga ---I have a 74 B300 360 and while ungoing a recent tune up my mechanic noticed a very small hose attached to the transmission that had a leak as well. Not sure what it could be or if that info helps but there it is.

Did a tune up last week before our first trip this summer and it ran fine on the way down then on the way back towards the end of the run Brougham started bogging down and losing power, at first was mostly on the uphills, then towards the end of the trip just generally losing power.
I did plugs, oil filter, fuel filter, changed oil, cleaned up the carb a little bit, pcv valve....will be troubleshooting it this week, just wondering if anyone has any thoughts?
Had a overheating issue last week, changed out the thermostat to a 165, flushed the system and no issues now. Don't know if that would affect the power.
Wondering about your fuel pump. What do your exhaust pipes look like? They real white/ash colored, and 'dry' looking?
Hopefully that's it and it's not a timing chain slopped.
exhaust looks dry as can be, mostly just reddish/rusty looking, not so much white or anything.
My brother was thinking fuel system too. maybe some sediment in the lines, the new filter I bought was different than the one that was on it. went from a long metal to a short plastic....and since it first started doing it on the uphills maybe a fuel feed issue.
Upside is I got my chiltons for it yesterday while I was camping =D
