Has anyone traveled on I-10 in Louisiana in the past year. I am thinking of taking it to travel east from AZ? I haven't been on it in the last 6 years. Is it still very rough, or should I find a different way east. Thanks
We came through there last year and thought it was fine. We came back along the Gulf Coast and found that to be a much more enjoyable drive....more scenic too....Dennis

There are some places that are pretty rough, but nothing like 5-10 years ago. We have been from Mandeville to Texas about 5-6 times in the last year and I sure don't gripe like I used to.
Good bit of improvement in the old bad sections from Tx line through Lake Charles. After that the biggest issue may be the bridge through the Atchafalaya and traffic east of Baton Rouge to Mississippi. Some great State parks if you decide to stay for a visit.
I was on it a few months ago. I thought it was fine.
