With some help, I've finally been able to use my over the air TV antenna. I'm amazed at the quality of the picture. The Antenna is a King HD, it was on the motor home when I bought it. Nice to know, I have a source for local TV when traveling.

I recently converted my CRT's to smart LED's. I use a combination of DTV and OTA
to get all the channels I need. Had a hard time with the front TV as I couldn't find a 32" with front facing speakers so I hooked the front TV up to the existing surround sound system. My old original unmodified batwing antenna works well with the OTA digital signals.

Yes, OTA TV is good enough that we're about to dump cable TV at home to save $80 per month. Our cable company is about to raise rates a second time in less than a year.

In the nine years since we dropped cable at the house we have saved quite a bit of money. My OTA signals improved greatly when I installed a Mohu Sky antenna in the attic. I understand some RVers use the Mohu Leaf which is also a good antenna. And, unlike most things these days, it is made in the USA!

We like using the antenna, even though presently in a campground with cable. Especially since and in many cases, it's analog and we do like the HD quality of the major networks.
We also use an antenna at home, mounted inside the attic. Reaches out to the towers, 35 miles away and does an excellent job. Cable companies have and are now encrypting everything with more and more charges for everything, as well. Along with the extra charges, the converter boxes and extra remotes are a real pain and not to mention the constant arguments with the billing dept. liars, over this and that with their bait and switch tactics. Good riddance, as far as I'm concerned and getting back to the basics of the old days, can be quite nice. Now, what to do about broad band internet service?

X2! I'm already close to $90 per month for basic cable. Gonna see what I can get on my TTs antenna and if it's good, buy a good antenna for the house and dump cable.

I picked up a nice directional HD antenna for $69 for the house and dumped Direct TV that was running me $171/mth. Also use smart TV's & Apple TV to stream through the Internet. What a huge savings.

Now if everyone would start dumping cable and watch OTA for awhile the prices would start coming down. We have OTA in our motorhome and at our house and will never PAY someone so we can watch tv. It's just not that importanat to us. We will however pay to have internet.

I'm not a fan of FOX NEWS, I guess that's why we have different channels.

Anyway, what drives me nuts is when my paid home cable pixilates! I'm ready for an antenna in the attic, I just need to get in gear and get it done!

I recently put an antenna on the roof of my house and am enjoying free TV shows...

What 'type' of antenna did you buy?

I had a local company that specializes in antennas come to the house and set it up for me. They asked where on the house I wanted it. We have a fair amount of trees between the towers and us. I told them to put it where there was the strongest signal. He found that spot and put a preamp? on it to boost the signal. I have awesome reception now.

X2- watching OTA news is very one sided. Wish we could get Fox for free

I get 2 channels of Fox news for free OTA.

The OTA digital signal quality is great but there are times I wish for the days of video snow as compared to image freeze and the dreaded 'Lost Signal' message. Digital TV version of the PC blue screen of death.
