Going gypsy before summer. Just finishing refurbishing a 99 Pace Arrow Vision 37ft. Now I need to decide best insurance, cost being factor not going to work for more money, coverage for rig, contents, toad & valuables very important. May never go back to where I've been, so everything goes with.

Congrats. This is a topic that I know something about. "full timers" coverage is important for you to have. You can obtain this coverage through any RV Insurance Specialist. We provide many full timers with this coverage while explaining how it fits the full timers lifestyle. Good luck and safe travels. Tommy

Found a couple of agents that write for NI & Blue Sky plus others. Any horror stories out there about bad expierences with any of these companies or good stories ok too? Horror stories are more entertaining. Any thing else to look for besides the Coachnet or something similar? Is it better to stick Sam's for towing?

Are you sure NI gives you Coachnet with the policy? I have it and it isn't included

Last year National added CoachNet to their policies as a freebie. This year they charge for it. I'm waiting back as my policy is coming up for renewal and I questioned them on it. Here's why...CoachNet basic is $89/yr, Premium is $179/yr...but with Premium you save 5% off your renewal making the Premium plan the better choice. The gal at National was not aware of that offer so she has to go up the food chain to get an answer. I'm thinking they don't like us old pharts that have way too much time on our hands to think about these things....:W.....Dennis

I bought mine through Miller Insurance, an insurance agency. We ended up with Victoria Insurance for RV, GMAC for our Honda CRV, and a personal umbrella plan through RLI.

Not all companies write full timers insurance. We have National Interstate, written through Explorer...insurance rates are going up for full timers in SD, Fla, and Texas. They will write policies for Montana registrations but it's under a different umbrella. Decide which State you'll make your resident state now and weigh the benefits of each of them...you'll be joining many of us enjoying the best times of our lives......Dennis
