Less and Less Posts

Is it just me? Over the last year there seems to be a lot less posts. I used to see 10 to 14 or more pages, now it seems like 5 or 6 is a lot.
I don't do a lot of posts myself but I do read them and will put in an answer or advice if I it is something I know about. just curious to see if others see the change.

Yea, blame it on the Moderators. I have seen several of your posts complaining about the moderation here, and It seems you have just stayed on so you can complain about it!
It is true, some of the old members did leave because of the Moderators, their trolling/flamming posts were no longer being tolerated.
The members who follow the rules seem to have no problems.

Actually he is correct. Many have left because of over moderating. Not by all Mods of course. You have never seen a post of mine complain about it. But that don't mean I'm blind. I have wondered what happened to some of the innocent posts that disappeared though.
This is the least amount of pages I have seem since 2004. Christmas also has some to do with it. Even on Popup Explorer the number is way down. The only forum I have seen that really has a lot of posts going is IRV2. They have 9 pages just yesterday, and today. 15+ pages going since the 24th.

X2 on what terryallen & dogfolks have said!

Seems there are almost 3 pages of 'new' posts today with almost 12 pages of postings today in the 'active'...........Class A isn't the only sub-category

And 3 pages of replies just on this post.

Hummmmmmm...your right less & less so posts about less & less seems interesting

And then there is always ATC...........hahaha
Is it time for your medication or mine?

Definitely several pages less than last year..
I think

1) the new generation of rv'ers are smarter
2) Newer rv's have less issues

You guys "Ain't Seen Nothing Yet".

Remember when you were younger and had money left over at the end of the month? That doesn't happen anymore. These younger ones have either no spare time or no spare money. The geezers like us that got out ahead of the crash are not too badly off).

SIL and DD are in that group. He got a teaching degree - Summa Cum Laude - and was two years looking for a job anywhere. Finally did and no health coverage (so they are waiting to start a family). (Someone is waiting to be Grama and is really disappointed.)

At his age, we took the kids camping. They have to borrow our gear. And kids are waiting for better days. Likelihood of any young RVs coming along is getting slimmer by the day.

More than a few of those our age are moving into the RV to save the property taxes on the house. If you have a house and selluld use for the RV on taxes. Watch out for tha.

Last time out, we were part of an vintage and antique camper display. When I told some of the young ones what it takes, they just said that they don't have the time/money to do that. aring at possible disast

Much of the above was edited to remove what might have been considered by some to be political. It was all facts, but sorry, not here.

Let me see if I am getting this. We have lost posters because of the negativity, so let's ban the negative posters so we will have even less posts. :h

I think we may have reached the end of the internet.
My advice is worth exactly what you paid for it.

Agree. Same old posts and questions over and over. Not really worth responding again and again.

While many may blame it on the negative, I believe there are enough good people and responses to provide fodder for more questions. I for one have responded negatively to some trolling questions and incorrect answers. If you want pity because you caused a problem and then ask for that pity, you aren't going to get it. You get a candid answer.

The above quotes seem more accurate to me. I have quite copying and pasting on a couple of topics. Dish Pay-as-you-go is one of them. There is a ton of info here that many could use. Some may have to develop their search skills or even need some assistance, Not trying is not an excuse. I do not have time is not an excuse. Many here have the same or less time. Some have more. "I tried X, Y & Z and did not get what I need." is an excuse and can be followed with "Try this http://. . . " becomes a a more palatable answer. I know that I will get flack for this but it is easier to help someone who is trying verses someone that starts with gimme.

The moderators on here need to put their foot down and change this before this fine site fades away...

I am in complete agreement.

Me too. Some folks are brutal to new members and the Mods need to do more.
