No Bright Headlights, Sometimes

2007 F53 Fleetwood. I discovered this evening that when I push the turn signal forward, I have no bright lights. The little blue light on the dash does not come on either. However, if I pull the turn signal towards me, the bright lights come on and the little blue light on the dash comes on. Looking for ideas, switch, fuse,???

If you never turn the switch far enough to turn on the headlights, I only turned on the parking lights, one can only flash the high beams, they'll never stay on permanently. LOL

Guess I'm getting old. The high beams switch and the dash lights are two different things. Pushing the turn signal forward activates the high beams. Pulling it toward you activates the high beams only while you have that lever pulled. It's used to flash the high beams. Turning the switch has nothing to do with activating the high beams.. I'd say the switch in the turn signal is bad......Dennis

I agree with the switch diagnosis.

Switch is the culprit. They are a common failure point on cars and trucks as well

I would think everything after the switch would be the same for those two functions so the switch is the most likely culprit.

I would be suspect of the turn signal switch.
