I am considering the purchase of a 2015 tiffin phaeton. I would like to know what percent off asking price I should expect to pay a dealer? Also does anyone know anything about La Mesa rv in Sanford,fl. ? Thanks for the info.

My deal on a 2015 40AH; List $312,040 came out to $192,839 with trading in my '05 FW Expedition. Not the all electric model but has heated floors, dishwasher, satellite and the other options. I am not into ordering and waiting, this will do fine!

LaMesa RV is a high overhead operation that is known for not always being true to their and their salesmens word. As far as the price it is up to you to make your best deal. As to what to expect, well you know. NOT MUCH. Don't do deposits , money down, etc, until you have everything as you want it. Remember when you drive that new coach off their lot it will depreciate 35-40 %.

You know that's really just not true.Lets say a 2015 is $405 retail and u get 30% off so $283K and the next day its worth $170K ??
Depreciation is bad but it would take at least 3-4 years before it was down 40%

Riiight. Go ahead. Drive it out. Take it back the next day. They won't know you. The best offer then will be below low book. Check it out.

On edit. 30% off of MSRP. Never happen. They might make you think that's what it is. Those people are professional salesmen and really good at what they do. Don't drink their cool-aid.

Yeah, buying a new coach opens you up to a big chunk of immediate depreciation.

The way to mitigate it somewhat is to make a good deal, put down enough that you're not gonna be up-side-down on your loan (if you need one) and don't sell/trade you coach the minute you drive it off the lot.

We bought our coach new and we weren't overly concerned.

I would try getting a quote through Davis in Memphis or through Sherman in MS. You can expect 26-30% off list. You can get your best price if you have one built for you exactly as you would like it. It will be a 2016 and I would guess that it would take about eight weeks. Tiffin will give you a build schedule and you can stand by it and watch it being built. It is amazing to watch. Good luck with your decision.

Hi, Steve-

LaMesa is a high-volume dealership and I've heard that it depends alot on which sales person you're working with. Everything, of course, goes through a sales manager for approval.

30% off MSRP is not unhead of, but I've not yet heard of getting that at La Mesa.

You might want to wander over to TRVN and look around, ask questions and such. Knowledgable bunch...mostly easy to get along with. ๐Ÿ˜‰

By the way, which model Phaeton are you looking at? We have a 42LH.

On some coaches I would agree, but on a Tiffin, I really doubt it. Does not hurt to try though.
My advice is worth exactly what you paid for it.

As far as how much off? 20% would be reasonable. I hear there is a waiting list for Tiffins if you order them. They are quite popular now.
My advice is worth exactly what you paid for it.
