Brand new RVโ€™er when i arrive at a site with a Class A MH
Do I
1 level the rig with the stabilizers then deploy the slide out
2 deploy the slide out then level the rig with the stabilizers

Thanks in anticipation of your answers and or discussion

Try it both ways. slides are heavy, may tilt the rig one way or another. Do what is right for yours.

double check your leveling system with the best level ever, a frying pan with a little bit of water. Gravity wont lie, your leveler bubbles may.

I have done it both ways, it didn't seem to matter but I only have one slide. I would think the safest is to level then deploy the slide but as said above follow manufactures instructions.

Yes, it is not about arguments or which is right-- the right answer is what your coach engineers designed into YOUR coach.

Even if it is different than the coach someone else owns, it is correct for YOURS.

Some manufacturers say level first then put the slides out, others say put the slides out then level. Check your manual.

Our Monaco Dynasty said put the slides out then level, our new coach says the same thing, put slides out then level.

Follow what your manufacturer suggests.

Good luck,
MM.

Every time this subject comes up, it results in an argument over what's best. Follow the coach manufacturers instructions. With our Monaco, it's slides out first and then level.

In my MH days I leveled, deployed slide and rechecked level.

On ours it's level then slides out. It's that way on every MH I've ever know except the Holiday Rambler/Monaco twins.

It may depend on the behavior of your coach. If you level then deploy and that puts it out of level, it may be easier to deploy first.

I always level first, then slides out myself, but I don't think it matters much unless you are pretty far off level.
