Step Up Toilet

I'm new to this site and I've looked around and haven't seen much on toilets here or I didn’t look very well or maybe it’s because not many have the problem I have w/ our RV Toilet. Not so much a problem as much as it is an inconvenience for me. And I'm probably the only one it inconveniences in my family because I'm the shortest and the only gal.:o

I have a 2007 Majestic 28A by Four Winds, and the toilet is a step up or a step above floor level, not sure how to describe and I don't know how to post pictures on here. The toilet is a step higher than the floor level and if you try to step up to use the toilet there's not enough floor space for your feet to do so. Since I'm the only one complaining about it and before I ask the hubby to look and see what's under it or to see if there is anything that can be done to remove the step and put in a regular size RV toilet, I wanted to ask for some input/advice. Does anyone else have this in their RV, if so did you change anything about it, and how did you do it? :h :@

A friend of ours had the same problem with his short wife. He built a wooden lightweight step to her height. He had her sit down and measured from floor to her feet bottom. She loves it. She stores it in her closet.

How about a free standing TP holder with an extra large base? Use the post to move the step out of the way.

Our daughter has a 2008 Siesta Four Winds. Same problem. She bought a small step stool to set in front of the toilet. Works just fine. Cheap solution.

My 2011 Four Winds Chateau 28A is the only RV I have had where you cannot look directly into the black tank. The pipe goes straight down to a 90 degree elbow that I assume goes into the tank am not one to crawl around under my RV to verify where it goes. I am too old for that. When it stops working I will look.

The toilet bowl is the shallowest I have ever had. I would think some kind of half step up would work fine. I am near six foot tall and have considered putting in a step. Then I wonder if bending over to touch the floor has benefits.

There are no furnace ducts in that area. The hump/ boxed off area is because of the wheel well. The bathroom sink it the end of the line for the hot water system. So when winterizing with pink stuff the bathroom hot water valve should be opened first. It is the longest water run in the RV. All the hot air ducts are on the driver’s side. The longest one is maybe six feet. The bathroom sink feeds the black tank.

I think dropping the toilet down may be feasible with some reframing of the box it sits on. For me it is not broke, just inconvenient, so I have never considered fixing it.

My friends used to have a motorhome (not a Majestic) with the same issue. They did what Old-Biscuit suggested...built a step in front of the toilet, same height as the pedestal, basically just extending the pedestal. But they had a separate toilet room. If the layout I found online is correct, your toilet is in a room with your sink. So maybe a removable step, like an aerobic exercise step. Or just build a lightweight wooden one, attach a piece of carpet to the top of it.
That is exactly what I did but it blocks the door under the sink but it works.

The 'pedestal'/'box' that toilet sits on is a 'raceway' area for furnace ducting, water line etc

Toilet is on that pedestal/box for a reason..........clearance issues

Sounds like you need a 'step up' in front of toilet
Is it time for your medication or mine?
