Vickie,
Why do you need tires? Is one flat, or do you want to buy all 6 tires to replace old tires. Did you manage to get the tires or the help you needed?

I advise to call TIRE RACK for they might have what you need. The people on the phone are very knowledgeable. If they don't have the right tire, they might be able to direct you where to get them. They deliver tires anywhere in the country. You would need to then pay someone local to have the tires mounted and balanced.

I have been buying tires from Tire Rack exclusively for about 20 years now because I mount & balance tires myself as I have access to the right equipment. My point here is, Tire Rack has been very good to me.

I would also want to know, by date codes on tires, if tires are really "old stock" before buying.

Did you try the Pahrump Big O on Nevada 372, Goodyear on Oxbow, Walmart, or Tire Works across from the Pahrump Nugget? If new tires are available, I'd think any one of those could order what you need.

Our B-300 was a 1971 model, single rear wheels, and we went from 8.00 bias to 8.75 radial without issue. We also had a slight rub in front, but it took some doing to get it to happen. Also, it was only a "rub" not a "scrape" making only a spot, no damage.

But if Vickie's RV is Dual Rear Wheel, got to be sure about the wheels' "offset" that produces the spacing between the sidewalls.

Turned up several tire sellers, at least three new and one used. The "Big O" outfit is part of a national chain that sells under a number of brand names.

Time to wait for a status report from Vickie...

The best thing to do is get 16 inch wheels and tires. It will save money and you will end up with good easy to find tires that can be replaced any were and time.

We had a 72 Dodge B-300 Van Camper conversion and had more plentiful 8.75 x16.5 "bias belted" load range "E" tires installed. Front tires rubbed inside the wheel wells when turning sharply but otherwise worked OK to replace the stock 8.00x 16.5 tires. Don't install steel belted radial tires on existing wheels, OEM wheels are not designed for radials and wheels may become structurally unsafe.

Vickie,

Are you traveling/stuck in Pahrump or living there? Those tires, as you seem to know, are less and less available.

What chassis are they on? Do you know if it can accept size 8.75? They seem to be much more common than 8.00.

Sometimes a local, small community dealer can find 16.5 tires as they're serving rural areas that are running older vehicles.

Ford E350's could swap from 16.5 wheels to 16 from 1984 up. I don't know when they went with 16's as original. Just thinking it might be a good time to change wheels and all, get to currently used tires, probably 225/75R16E. Might even be able to find a decent used set, mounted.
