We installed Allure twice, well the shop installed it, and both times when it was cold weather the flooring would shrink and pull apart. It was a disaster.
We consulted Ernie, he has responded on this thread, and found a great product that has handled the cold and hot.

+1 on leaving the floor plenty of room to expend. Don't get the peel/stick kind for this reason. The flooring will expand and contract quite a bit every day unless you plan to keep the RV temperature controlled at all times. There are all kinds of vinyl plank floors out there, so do your research. I've seen many people recommend Allure, but if you look at Allure's website, they tell you it's not recommended for RVs. We just renovated our coach due to age and due to a couple of leaks we discovered, and decided put in floating carpet squares. Looks awesome and feels great underfoot. Easy to put down too! Just something else to consider when you are making your decisions. Good luck!!

how do you make the quarter round conform to round corners?

We used the Allure, because at the time, it looked best for our purposes. I have heard from several sources about the expansion and contractions causing slight cracks. That is what we liked about the Allure, the offset adhesive strips that form a sealed surface even if it opens a bit in cold weather. We looked at other solutions, but they were much more expensive, or too difficult to install. We have helped lay several Pergo type floors and like that also. We have installed sheet vinyl at home previously, and it had to be glued to keep it from tearing.

We installed the Allure last summer and so far it has went from cold weather here in Wisconsin to heat in Arizona. The cracks widened slightly in cold weather but came together as soon as we arrived in warm weather. Be sure it's floated and leave about a 3/8" gap on one side if it's installed in cooler weather. We didn't because it was up in the upper 80's when we installed it. Make sure have a good solid sub floor.:)

Yep, we are full timers. But as of this week we are moving into our condo after 13 amazing years in the road. We will continue to snowbird in the US until I retire and then we will sell the motorhome and start snowbirding in Spain or Latin America. But that's at least 6 years away. Probably 7.

So yes, it has not seen a winter.

Should be fine. Vinyl plank is very durable and good stuff. I can't imagine it doing bad in an RV.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

This is Pergo we installed 4 or 5 years ago.

Avoid Allure plant flooring from Home Depot. It's cheap Chinese crapola. We had it laid in our house and sorely regret it.

hello I did my RV floor 2 years ago with vinyl flooring tiles that click together. everything looked good the first summer, that fall I put the RV away for storage and as I live in Canada the temperature drops to minus 30 during winter. The tiles shrink so much during the cold that they brake the interlocking edges crack and even though they do expand again in the summer after two winters I will now be replacing the flooring with something else. So be careful about the expansion issues due to temp. changes. I am interested to hear from others what flooring tiles they have put down that did not have this issue

Here is how you do it. This was several years ago, and we used Allure from Lowes. Easy to work with, sealed together well, wore very well. It is NOT cemented to floor, so it can float a bit with Temp changes.

New MH floor.
