Finished wiring up my tow vehicle (2012 CRV) and hooked it up to our motorhome (2005 Damon Challenger) for the first time.

All seems to work... I used diodes and the only "glitch" is that the amber turn signal lights light up solid when I hit the brakes (along with the brake lights) They do blink when I signal (with the brakes applied or not) so I think I'm ok.

Total cost to me - approx $500 for the baseplate, diodes, wire, a couple of 6 pin round recepticles... (when I bought my MH it included a blue ox towbar, a brakebuddy and the umbilical)

Thanks to another member here (FIRE UP) for all the help/advice. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't hard either and my savings was VERY significant.

Almost finished installing the new air ride ride height valve. As the rig sets now with the air bags deflated, the rear end is about 2 inches above the driveway. Its funny haw many times I've had to read and re read the instructions that came with the valve. All I need to do now is air up the system and verify that the valve fills and dumps the bags and then adjust the ride height.

Such as small job, but it has taken about 4 months and almost $800 to get to this point. When the original valve failed my local RV shop installed a new one. That valve failed (or was improperly installed) just beyond the warranty period. Of course there was the fee for the mobile mechanic who came to service that valve. I finally became frustrated trying to deal with the shop and the valve manufacturer and ordered a new valve from a different vendor, and am installing it myself.

I am now an expert at one more arcane issue that has no other application under the sun!

I took my coach in for service so we can hit the road as soon as they get done servicing it. Man the weather is sure beautiful here in southern California. I feel for those up in the tundra. Heard they are still getting snow.

Dang!!! I knew I should have hustled faster on the outside work last week...
(Still need to replace the new tail light assemblies I got...)
I was going to do it yesterday but it rained... and now, today, it's going to be in the high 80's and humid... Guess I'll have to work on the inside (with the A/C on...)
Sorry in advance, to all the up north folks...

Look longingly at the MH garage every time I snow blow another layer of snow off the driveway. Will winter every end??

No, it will not. Got five inches of the white stuff last night, and it is snowing again. Should be another several inches, and there is more to come on Sunday.

It comes just in time, because the old snow banks were almost gone. fresh snow was very much required to get that wintery look back!

This is absolutely the longest winter I can remember, it stated late October and is still going strong!

On the positive side, we still don't have mosquitoes, yet!

Well, we got more snow starting at 11:25AM yesterday. Our snow level is back up to what it was 2 weeks ago. This time we've had 40-50mph wind gusts which means snow drifts in front of the garage doors and across the driveway.. Tomorrow, no snow, then it starts up again Sunday, Monday, etc.. When this finally melts there will be enough available ponds for the mosquitoes.

Having all fluids replaced, new PVC roof installed, having the entrance door rebuilt so that it is higher security, having the mount for the retracting steps reinforced , having a new high security gas filler panel installed, re-mounting my new infrared rear camera outside the stock housing so it is not blind t night. Removing old TV antenna mast, it is obsolete, i use in motion satellite. Also repairing couple of basement doors. Getting a quote to remove factory decals and do a custom paint job.

I forget to add having rollers installed on back so it won't scrape.

Well, got back from our maiden voyage to Kentucky. (weather was cold and rainy but no snow on the ground!!) Hence I have performed the following; installed a new Alpine bluetooth stereo as the OEM one quit with every joint in the freeway. Installed all new PIAA headlight bulbs (kind of expensive but worth it!). Replaced half the interior bulbs with LED bulbs. Ordered a Hellwig front anti sway bar and 4 - Koni FSD shocks to be installed next week. Also coming is a Tire Minder TPMS, an Ultra Guard rear mud flap kit (Our toad-2012 Prius-was completely covered in sand and salt from leaving in a snow storm), and lastly 6 new gas springs for the storage compartment doors. Thats the complete list at this point, hope its all too!

Cleaned and organized the basement, sanitized the water systems, turned the propane on and fired off the stove, fridge, and hot water tank. Opened the four slides and baby powdered the seals. Cleaned and lubed the towbar, hooked up the umbilical to the toad and ran a light check all in anticipation of launching next Tuesday morning for a three week trek. The DW has been stocking the inside, last thing for me to do is a good exterior cleaning this weekend and we'll be good to go.

Washed off the bugs on the front from our run from Austin to Beaumont. DW cleaned the interior since we spent 5 days with water and electric, no sewer, at McKinney Falls SP - Austin. Movin' on tomorrow, will collect more bugs unless it keeps raining.

The current circuit since leaving Rochester, NY in Nov is 9,163 miles (but who's counting).

Cleaned the refrigerator gas/electric chamber, cleaned hot water gas chamber, checked stove and oven. Then I sanitized the fresh water tank. Checked pressure in all the tires. Then washed it. Now all that is left is the trip.

I don't think I would brave taking my MH into Mexico too many horror stories and especially everything that happening down there. I guess where in Mรฉxico you go to I would not know the good from the bad. But good luck to you on your travels.
