The wife and I drove to the cave to get the rig out of it's winter storage, been there since Oct. 10. Now starts the spring maintenance regimen to get it ready for a southern trek after Easter.

getting ready for a weekend of driveway camping. yep, you heard right. due to surgery it's going to be a non-trip summer so i'll be enjoying my neighborhood from a different point of view. the great news: surgery went great and i'll be alive to enjoy next year and many more after that. 4 bypasses.

Installed a plastic enclosure under the propane tank to store the spare sewer hose and connections.

Getting ready to head for home after 9 weeks in super sunny Florida. Checked all my outside compartments, found that I didn't have to re-pack any of them as I didn't use anything that I brought except my ladder and chairs. I'll be a little lighter next year.

Busy winter. Weekend RV'd up north into the snow, every weekend. Also dealt with constant generator problems, sadly. Finally just as the lame winter warmed, I determined that it wasn't getting spark. Now I have a new coil & wires and it runs fine. there many other stops along the way; fuses, new fuse blocks, a new carb, new rubber fuel lines...

I would consider my wild project a huge unmitigated success however; RVing every weekend all winter, in snowy cold ski weather. I learned a lot about freezing water & trying to keep ahead of it using ultraheat tank blankets and pink stuff in the traps. I "winterized" my RV, and washed it, every week at the end of the weekend. You get good at it with so much practice. A notable product is the sewer solution. this device works very well.

We had a huge year long plan to go to SW CO to go skiing but we are looking at a thin snowpack and a terribly warm forecast. Plan B might go to Yellowstone, Bozeman & Driggs. Plan C might go to Washington DC & VA. I think we'll postpone the SW CO trip for one year.

My family & I have had a great time and we look forward to next winter, with a lot of learning and parts optimization behind us. thanks for all the help that I've received from forum friends.

Put the cover back on completely. We had removed the bumper and I tried straightening it out a bit......yeah right. DS painted it a couple of days ago and DW and I put it back on yesterday. She put another coat on it while I was putting up some vinyl wall pieces. We had to leave the cover up in front but with rain in the forecast DS and I went out and covered it up completely.

More to do....but its getting there......at some point ill post some photos of the flooring and the walling ive done/ am doing.

Drove it from Mazatlan to San Carlos, 12 hours door to door including a 50 minute breakfast stop and an hour fuel and lunch stop. Oh yeah, nothing broke! :B

Since we're having record temperatures (forecast for over 22 C or 70F vice just above freezing) decided to air out the MH and move it forward a couple of feet since its spent the winter parked on the grass and appeared to have sunk about an inch or so.

Got it forward, went out to check and found the right outside tire is flat. Foolish like, I put the rear jacks down to take the pressure of the tire, but they sank down about 3-4 inches in the soft dirt. Put down some gravel and boards to distribute the load and now have it a bit cock-eyed with the right rear up.

Definitely have to build a gravel pad when money permits!

Guess I'll have to try CoachNet for the first time. Tires are less than a year old, not sure what happened.

Got my starter out in 5 or 6 pieces. Starter and Bell Housing are made of Aluminum and were corroded together so tight I could not get one of the bolts out, the head snapped off and even using my cutting torch and Kroil I could not move it. I wound up beating it to peaces. Now I need to remove the broken bolt and clean up the corrosion and buy a new starter. Any recommendations where to buy?

I took it in to Mid-Tenn Ford, Nashville, Tennessee to have a recall completed on the Ford engine. After pulling it into the bay, they failed to set the handbrake and it rolled into a vehicle behind it. The only damage was to the access ladder to the roof. They are going to replace it. I have no good fortune with these places for service.

Installed exterior speaker on the curb side connected to the dash radio in place of the bedroom speakers. Use an Apple Airport Express connect to the Aux input and relax outside with my iPod connect to the radio via wireless network to the Airport router. Listen to old time radio from the 1940's and 50's I can down load for free on iTunes. 1000+ hours of X Minus One, Philo Vance, Johnny Dollar, Richard Diamond and others should keep me entertained for a while.
