brought in the awnings, disconnected water, sewer and BBQ, removed tire covers, the waited for more tsunami news. As it got closer to Zero hour, started the rig an built up the air, started the gen set and pulled and stored the shore power cord.

Then nothing much happened--a few surges but no big deal so back went the shore power and out went the slides.

Now the tide is high--the first surges were at low tide, and surges are continuing, but more frequent and faster swings, and shorter intervals and amplitude.

We are about bit over a meter above the maximum surge, so we were watching closely. Looks like it's settling down so off to bed!

Yesterday, rubbed out the right front compartment door to remove some yellow paint it picked up when neither of us was looking. Then waxed it. Used Turtle Way heavy duty compound and McGuire (SP) quick spray on. Looks too good. May have to do the rest of the side to make it match ๐Ÿ˜ž

Today, packed up in an hour at 5 AM with firetrucks all around encouraging us to evacuate the CA coastline as no one knew where or how high the Tsunami surge was going to come. We were in low lying beach area - Caspar Beach RV Park.

Washed and waxed. Well, paid a couple of muchachos to do it.

While waiting at a traffic light on Monday I heard some one calling: "Arturo!. . . Arturo. . ." (Which is what I am known by down here) Looking around I spotted a young man waving at me from a new Autolavado across the canal. I recognised him as one of the crew who washed and waxed the rig when we arrived here four months ago. I turned right and went in to see him and though I turned down a wash and wax for the car I arranged for him to come this morning to do the rig again. He wanted to come at 7:00AM to avoid the worst of the sun, but that was too early for us so we settled for 8:00. He and his friend arrived on his scooter at 8:50!!

Wash, paste wax and hand buffed, 2 men 5 hours, 1200 pesos, (100.00 dollars). Too much by local standards but things are hurting down here so I don't mind paying a bit more.

Fitted a new interrupter switch to the new cruise control I recently fitted,so that I can program the parameters without switching off the ignition, which I found very challenging when driving.

Not today, a few days ago we arrived at Miami Everglades Campground. Next morning water all over bathroom floor. Had to pull the toilet and water valve. Lucked out and was able to clean the valve and replace the o-ring in it. Thought for sure I was going to have to order a new valve online.
