What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?

I see the other types of RV's having this type of thread. I did a search and could not find one here. 🙂

Yesterday, I drove mine to work to "excercise" it. I have driven it to work twice in the two weeks I have owned it.

In the two years I owned my Class C, I drove it to work ZERO times. :E

Installed two new six volt batteries today. Easy install on the RT, but man those puppies are heavy. I weighed them: 62 pounds each. That's 124 pounds in that little slide out compartment. VERY well engineered compartment with quality, heavy duty slides.

My husband and I picked up a screen door yesterday and he started on the install today. Talk about a major custom job. It's coming along very nicely but we ran out of paint for the side walls.

Placed a suction cup sponge-holder inside the sink, installed reflectix panels for the driver and passenger side windows, placed an over-the-door hook on the interior bathroom door for my toiletry bag, unpacked the surge protector and stored it in the outside compartment, used WD-40 on the hinges of the sticky compartment door, ordered a volt meter and polarity tester, tested the inverter (it works!).

OK - now I need a nap!

Cleaned out the water hose, hooked up my water filter, tried out my new adapter, placed reflectix in the driver's and passenger's windows. Next I'll take the surge protector out of the box and read about it.

Getting ready to go, go, go ....

The B died when I was taking it out for it's weekly exercise this morning. Fortunately I was just about home and close to the driveway and was able to coast in. How often does that happen?

I can start it and it runs fine for about 30 seconds then dies again. Hopefully just something minor like the fuel filter (which is a PIA to get to in this).

Will get it into the shop tomorrow and hopefully it will be ready for the next trip next Thursday.

Update: I replaced the fuel filter myself and it seem to run better but I could blow air through the old one so I still think that wasn't the problem. Unfortunately the problem has disappeared (for now) and it looks like the filter has been replaced so many times I can't get the fuel line to tighten properly so it will go in tomorrow anyway to have that section of line replaced.

Learned how to drain the fresh-water tanks. Also made sure the propane valve was shut off (didn't think to check it after we left the dealer last week). It was.

I also read through most of the appliance manuals though I still have a few to get through.

A lot!

I've had my Roadtrek for 1 week now and have slowly been getting it ready for Fall camping/hiking.

Just getting the license plate yesterday felt like a big accomplishment.

That toilet paper holder will be fine unless the RV moves (might tend to unroll) or you use the shower. I use velcro straps to wrap around the paper towels in the kitchen area. Keeps them from unwinding when the camper is going down the road when a window is open.

We use an old-fashioned rubber band for the same purpose. We simply move it to one "arm" that holds the PT roll when we want to use it. Then put it back when before moving, and we always know where that darn rubber band is. 🙂

Cheers.

We have the unrolling tp happen before when we used to keep it on the clothes rod. We will take it off for driving and put it on the sink. While showering it will come out. It sure is nice to have it in a convenient location though:)
