Unless youโ€™re talking about some unusual offshore stuff that comment isnโ€™t quite accurate.

Almost all 22.5 and 24.5 Tireโ€™s are rated for 75 mp/h OPERATION (at proper inflation of course) thatโ€™s NOT to say thatโ€™s the maximum speed theyโ€™re rated for.

Even if that was the maximum rated speed though, thereโ€™s still a healthy safety margin built in. If theyโ€™re โ€˜ratedโ€™ for 75 they donโ€™t hand grenade at 77.

Wow! A couple of days ago I was in my F-250 and was lock-step behind a motor home towing a mini-van on a tow dolly. My cruise was set at 77 MPH! I eventually went around it on a long hill and checked to see that it was a Monaco Windsor DP with single axle in the 35-40' range. I'm definitely no expert, since I don't even own a coach yet, but that seemed a bit much.

Yeah and especially since the tires are only rated for 75. I'd sure hate to be anywhere near him, when a front steer tire blows. Wonder how fast he drives in a sports car, given the handling characteristics of each?
Not to mention, he's probably only getting 20mpg at that speed.....Yep, pun of some sort intended and a lol for sure.

Coach converted from gas to Duramax 6.6L turbo diesel. Generally run in the 62-65 range as it is a relaxing speed for me. I like to avoid stress! I have come from Oregon to Mo to MN to VA and have averaged 13+ mpg. Will go back west via Canada.

Yup. The big coaches with the 450-550 HP engines tend to cruise up there. Holding the DW "recommended" 63 mph, I get blown by frequently by 40+ footers.

On good highways 64-67...diesel with a average over 55. On two lanes whatever the traffic is doing and every couple miles I move as far right as possible to let those behind me know Iโ€™m not the problem. If Iโ€™m the problem Iโ€™ll find a sale spot to let those behind (3-4) get around me.
This post is my opinion (free advice). It is not intended to influence anyone's judgment nor do I advocate anyone do what I propose.

Just completed a 4,300 mile trip -Illinois -> Iowa -> South Dakota ->North Dakota ->Montana -> North Dakota -Minn -> Wisc -> home to Illinois. Diesel. Averaged 66 for trip. Drove speed limit in all states, 65, 70, and 75. Didn't run into too many running 63, passed very few motorhomes or trailers. Was passed by many. Crossing ND with the 75 limit, I was passed like I was blocking traffic.
