Which company should repaint our class A RV?

We are still in the Madison, Wi. campground at the FMCA rally.
We spoke with folks from Mike's Custom Painting in Bremen, In. About doing a total repaint of our 1999 DSDP.
From what they said, and what you can see on their website, I have little doubt they would do a first rate job.
BUT, this requires me to take the rig back to Florida, unload all the stuff we want to have at the house, and drive it back to Bremen. Our toad is a Prius, so getting a cargo trailer to take our stuff home isn't an option.
As an alternative, a Lakeland, Florida company, Creative Coach has a good looking ad.
Can anyone comment, good or bad on either of those two companies, and/or suggest another Florida company for the job?
We would be having the rig completely stripped, including removing the old faded graphics, and a completely different paint scheme done to update the look.
Price is NOT the major consideration. Quality of materials and workmanship are what I'm looking for.
If you have comments you'd rather not post on the forum, please send them to me at: rcowgill@cfl.rr.com.
Thanks!
Bob

two and a half years ago I had Mike's Custom Painting do my coach .... Great job! I had gotten a price from from Creative Coach as they are only a few miles from our home .... $27K +. Mike's did it for $12K. BTW Precision Painting is on the next street over from Mike's, get a price from them.

It's either base color plus four others, or four total. Don't recall, but four is plenty for what we want to do.

That is plenty of colors. Some of these coaches have too much design where they actually look terrible.

Creative Coach roughly quoted me $28-32K for the same work.
No brainer, there!
We will stay at our kids place in Cincy while the work is done.
We've helped them out enough...time for some payback! 🙂

I had mine painted last fall at Mikes Custom Painting. When I went to south Texas for the winter, most of my friends thought I had a new coach. Mikes Painting are great people and do great work with a great price. Tell Liva Roger sent you. She's the owners daughter. She helps with the design and color. Good luck. You can see pictures in my old posts.

Thanks to Bob for answering my question. Not as bad as I expected but still a major expense!

TVOV - when a vehicle gets a quality paint job it is done in a paint booth where the atmosphere is controlled and it is dust free. Fitting a MH in the shop is not enough, it has to fit in the booth.

I drove 633 miles x4 to get Mikes. He was a LOT less than two other quotes I got in Ga. He does about 30 a week ( has 5 shops) and does paint for several mfg. in the area.

Is there a reason that people seem to be only looking at special "RV paint shops" instead of auto body shops? The guy I use for car body work and painting has a large shop that I think would fit a RV, and I would be confident in his ability to do the work (he has had vehicles he worked on featured in major car magazines).

I'll try to remember to ask him (just out of curiosity). Seems mostly it would be a case of if a shop can fit the RV inside. (I probably just answered my own question...)

We've had some excellent work done by Creative Coach and saw many coaches they had painted. Would highly recommend them.

Mikes quote for a VERY thorough job is $14K on our 38 foot rig.

That is not bad then, but somebody mentioned thirty thousand which I thought was too much.

I believe Mikes paint shop used to paint some of the new coaches coming out of Nappanee. Indiana.

I just used La Mesa RV in Port St. Lucie FL to straighten and refinish 2 cargo doors.

While there I toured their body shop and I was most impressed with their new motorhome sized paint booth. They showed me some coaches under repair and some finished. I'm fussy and I was impressed. I worked with Leonard and JJ.

La Mesa is located just off I-95.

One of the very best RV paint and body shops in the southeast is
Custom Paint & Auto Body
200 2nd. Street NE
Red Bay, Al
256-356-5695

This shop does a LOT of paint work for Tiffin Motorhomes and Tiffin customers. I have never heard or read of a complaint about their work.
