Does anybody know of a wine rack that holds the bottles firmly. Everything I can find won't work around the first left turn.

Joshuajim,

Thanks For the pic. I basically duplicated your design and made one 10 bottle and another 6 bottle. This way I can take what I need for different length trips and put them in different places in the MH

That's nice use of that space! Plus you can probably throw soft goods on top for travel.

Just installed a wine fridge where the washer/dryer used to go. Cabinet door holds the wine fridge door closed. Never had any of the bottles escape and they are always ready to serve.

And over the engine? not much cooler when you travel, do you think?

I keep them in original cases, lay them on their side, stored under the bed in our fiver. The under bed storage has the most stable storage temperature in the unit while on the road, insulated on all sides. One bottle of white in the fridge for instant reward at the end of the day.

I have a piece of 5" thick foam, (like a piece of seat cushion) that I cut out the shape of two wine bottles. It lays flat in the cupboard with the wine laying flat in it.

I used a razor blade to carve out the shapes so that the bottles sit about half way down in the foam.

Fulltimer, travel with 2 cases in original cases. No problems.

I use the styrofoam shipping containers, each usually for 3 bottles.

I found some heavy cardboard tubes (3/16" thick walls x 3-1/4" ID), I cut them into 4" long lengths, and placed them vertically inside an upper kitchen cabinet. I mounted a 1/2x4 wood stop full width across the inside front of the cabinet to hold the vertical tubes in place.

It holds the bottles in place, and the cardboard tubes keep the bottles from rattling against each other. I also mounted a rack for wine glasses at the top of the upper cabinet.

Cheers.
