I've been using wipers from Walmart and have had no problems. Are the wipers on your car or truck okay? Or, is it just your RV that has problems?

There for my coach and I get them on line. Both sets this year has been hard like they are old stock

Rain x is a must have. For safety first but also prolongs wiper life many times over due to reduced friction.

I also run Rain-X on my windshield. Helps in both rain and snow.

Silicone is far superior to rubber.

I have these and will not go back to off the shelf.

Rain-X wiper blades are silicone. I bought them off the shelf at NAPA for our motorhome 5-6 years ago. They're still working just fine.

There goes the "They don't sell them in stores..." theory.

They are pretty impervious to that stuff & last way longer than carbon rubber. That's the whole point of them.

Those silicon blades are tempting... but what about salt, sand, and de-icing chemicals? How well will they survive that?

I may have to give them a try. Nothing like trying to snowplow in the sleet with crappy wiper blades (which is why I just routinely replace them every year).

My wiper blades are 32 inches long and very few places to carry them... I have been paying between $60.00 and $90.00 per set. I cut a child's toy noodle to length of the blade and split it the entire length and slide it over my blades when parked and it not only keeps them off the windshield but protects them from UV rays and the weather.

One trick I learned to keep wiper blades in good shape for years on the motorhome is to lift them off the windshield whenever I'm parked for a few days or longer. The Michelin blades I have on now are 5 years old and still doing fine. Got them at Walmart for about $10 a piece.
I put blocks of wood or tennis balls under the wiper arms also. I usually find them for $5 apiece. When they begin to streak I wipe them down with 400 grit sand paper to remove the hard oxidation that builds up on the surface, then wipe with a light coating of lubricant and they are good for another year or so. They used to sell silicone rubber blades that lasted longer but I have not seen these in a while. I just bought 28 in blades that Ralph showed pictures of for $3.99 a piece on sale, one of them does not make contact with the windshield in the center due to the re curve of the blade or the spring tension being too low, so I had to remove some of curve.

I liked the RainX too, although they didn't seem to last as long as the Bosch.

Funny thing is, I had some of these and they were AWFUL. Noisy, and lots of streaks.

I found that if I put a coat of 303 on the blades every couple of months or so they last several times as long and donโ€™t chatter.
