My old electric pressure cooker died. Does ANYBODY make one that doesn't come with Teflon? Are they all digital now? Dang, the world has moved on and left me behind. :E

For camping I use a small GSI stovetop. Very light weight and compact and great for cooking for 2.

Love my stovetop PC, would love to know how to cook meatloaf in it. Use it for lots of things but never meatloaf.

Any suggestions out there?

I use a Cuisinart electric. I bought a stainless pot for it on Amazon.

Whole chickens, pork butt but beans and vegetables are my favorite.

I chop onion, celery carrot garlic, box of broth, can of tomatoes pound of beans that soaked all day. Sometimes ham. Thicken a little with instant potatoes.
If you buy organic instant potatoes at a health food store they make an excellent thickener.

I haven't seen anyone mention doing chicken in a pressure cooker. Its pretty good too!

I have a plain Jane Presto pressure cooker with the rocker and I absolutely love it.

You can usually find old pressure cookers at local auctions or on EBAY if you don't like the new versions.

I have a Nordic Ware Microwave tender cooker that I have had for about 20 years. I like it. Does take around a .9cf or larger microwave to fit in. Cooks a roast in about 20 minutes.

I miss the rocker on our first one. We knew when the stove was just right for what was inside. The new one really isn't the same.

We have an electric one with teflon that we bought from HSN. So far, so good. But if we buy another one, I will buy a stove top version now that we have a better understanding of how it works...

CA POPPY, I season my chops, brown them, remove them from the cooker, add kraut with juice, apples, onions, and a little brown sugar. Put the chops on top of the kraut, spread some onion rings and thinly sliced apples on top of the chops, then cook for 8 minutes under pressure, release pressure naturally.

Would be great tomorrow with a little Hoppin' John. terry r.

Zojirushi NS-LAC05XA Micom 3-Cup Rice Cooker and Warmer is the best product known to me so far.. It keep-warm function, LCD display with timer, nonstick inner cooking pan. I've owned many rice cookers over the years. This one, by far, makes the best rice . It is easy to use and clean . & I love that you can cook as little as one cup at a time!

Double ditto. The All American is built like a tank. It's a metal to metal seal so no rubber gaskets to fail. Ours went to our grandchildren when we hit the road. They use it nearly every week for cheap and tough meat cuts. The meat comes out like buttah.
