What's your favorite beverage while relaxing anound the campfire..or not(for those that dont do campfires)????

Never liked the taste of beer, so, looong looong ago, in my younger days, it was rum and coke. Now its flavored vodkas mixed with some juice. #1 is Abslout Ruby red grapefruit flavored vodka with orange juice...

On a hot summer day I like a margarita whipped up in the margaritaville blender, after a large unhealthy evening meal I prefer a big Captain & Coke, if it is a cold night a shot or two of the Fireball Whiskey warms you right up while sitting around the campfire! ๐Ÿ™‚

It depends on the ambient temps. There is a drink called a Cuddler Cocktail which is Bailey's and Amaretto heated which is great when it's cold out. When hot out we do Gin&Tonics or Mojitos (more effort) both in 16 oz beer glasses. I like pale ales and Nancy likes wheat based beers. I also like single malt Scotch and Nancy rather likes Irish Whiskey if we are sipping.

Be careful with that stuff, I hear there are some environmentalists who think we should ban such dangerous chemicals. LOL

My own homemade wine straight up, in a high ball or as a sangria. Got a basement full of the stuff. I'm good to go!

A good, chilled tequila, and Jose Quervo is not tequila.

Very true, but then Coors Light isn't beer either.:B

That's an arguable statement. Coor's is a lot closer to beer than Jose is to tequila. Coors has the ingredients, Jose does not have tequila ingredients!!!! I lived in Europe/England, and loved the beers there. There are no beers to compare, so I drink Coors. Coors has the least amount of formaldehyde in the brewing process. That stuff really effects me in a bad way!! lol

When on the road away from home I try to find a locally or regionally brewed IPA. Found some great ones out West. When at home, Sam Adams Summer Ale or SweetWater 420 Extra Pale Ale fits the bill for me.

I didn't read the whole thread, so I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but here is the recipe for O'Charley's Mango Mai Tai. We have the recipe as follows: 4 oz Pineapple Juice, 1.5 oz Malibu Mango Rum, .5 oz Amaretto, grenadine, and maraschino cherries. Mix the Juice, Rum and Amaretto in a shaker glass with ice and shake until chilled and transfer to glass. Float about 1 TBSP of the grenadine in the glass and add a couple of cherries. I don't drink at all, but BF says they taste just like O'Charley's and he loves them.

Wow...no one has mentioned sangria!
The night before heading out i mix a large (cheap) bottle of red wine with brandy, triple sec, o.j, 1/2 can of frozen lemonade, add orange, lime and lemon slices to my 1 gallon jug coleman cooler. I freeze grapes to use as icecubes.
A jug will last for most weekends ๐Ÿ˜‰

Well, I'll tell you what isn't my favorite. Today I bought some of the Bud Light Strawberry-A-Rita. I really like Lime-A-Rita mixed with club soda on ice. But the strawberry is terrible. I almost feel like setting on the front step and hope some high school kids steal it! ๐Ÿ˜‰
