Millenicom replacement

Hi Guys,

A few years ago I found some info on Millenicom on this forum and another forum. Millenicom offered a pretty good data plan with Verizon at a great deal. Over time they went up in price and finally Verizon cut them off and offered deals to their customers at a hefty price. This was good for me as a storm chaser but was still expensive.

Well last year Huntsville City Schools in Huntsville, AL started a big digital transition. They have got rid of textbooks and replaced them with laptops. All kids have a laptop now and they encountered another problem. Kids with no internet at home. So they partnered with Verizon and started a great deal where parents get a Verizon MiFi router at a good price.

Well earlier in August they opened their program to the general public. There is no geographic restriction for use or purchase. The MiFi router is included and the best news is it is UNLIMITED 4g LTE data over Verizon for only $47.75 a month.

I've used it all over the US including Chicago and Nashville within the last few weeks and I have had no issues with it at home.

If you are interested head to http://hsvwifi.com

Thanks again for all the great info in the past - hope you guys enjoy this service.

Wes

While I was fretting over my delivery , I called and only got a msg that the voice mail box was full (voice mail...why can't it be called what it is...electronic answering/Angering machine service)

I ordered on the third, arrived Monday the 14th, it took 11 days, yours should be arriving soon, maybe Monday? From the tracking history of my order, it appears most of the delay problem is created by Fedex
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

So... I placed my order early in the morning on Sep 4th, I see the payment taken off of my credit card, have an email from paypal and omnilynx confirming my order...

But, other than that, nothing. No notices that they're experiencing shipping delays due to a lack of stock (as I read in this thread), etc.

Should I call and bug them? Or sit quietly and wait? #2202.

Thanks.

I would call Monday morning, I ordered my on the 9th and have it. The number is listed on the website under the "contact" tab, but here it is http://www.hsvwifi.com/Home/Contact

I think they got an over whelming response they were not expecting
The public in Huntsville already knew about it
But when it went viral on the RV forums they got hit with a deluge of orders
I can explain it to you.

Dear OmniLynx Customer,

Due to the large number of orders our office has recently received, the wireless device inventory is currently on backorder. Because we have not been provided with an approximate date for delivery by the supplier at this time, we offer the following accommodations for your account(s):

1) You may request a refund of your first monthโ€™s payment , which will be processed via PayPal. This should be done via emailed response to this message. Please include your order number and name in this email.
2) We will hold onto your first monthโ€™s payment and process your order as soon as devices are received. If at any point you decide the delay in delivery of equipment is too lengthy, you may request a refund.

In the event we do not receive an emailed request for refund, we will continue to hold your initial payment and will process your order upon receipt of the inventory. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience and understanding in the matter.

I've been stress testing, streaming Netflix like crazy, still going fast

It don't need to test that fast for Netflix to stream
But I just want to see what happens when I use a lot of data
Do I'm doing lots of streaming
Very happy so far

Yep, I even hit a 20MB download at one location but I missed recording it. Oh well. We will likely be moving to another town soon and unlimited slow is still better than my limited slow service.

Where your at, needs more cell towers

I took the WiFi for a drive. It's all about location. These sites are all within a mile of each other.

I ordered my 6620 on 9/8/15 and was charged that day, order #2427 and received it today. Did not get anything from fedex about shipping. The wifi gives the same data speed as the iPhone 6+ on Verizon.

Nope, neither is true. I my play with shutting down my multiple wifi networks to see if that's any kind of issue.
