Need a Locator App

I'm planning a trip to a very remote location in the Pawnee National Grasslands for stargazing. The area does have cell service however. Some other family members will be driving up separately. I'm worried about them being able to find me. Is there a cell phone app that will show them my location on a map and direct them on how to get to me? Thanks for your help.

there is an app called "my tracks" which tracks your position and can upload the data

but with out cell service i don't know how you can upload that map info or any other cellphone info or how they can access it

a locater app won't do any good, if your phone and their phones cannot get a signal
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

Once you get to your destination, use Google Maps to get your GPS coordinates. Text those to your friends. They can enter them into Google Maps on their phones and will know right where you are. This works as long as you have cellular and data service.

If you do not have phone or internet service the answer is "NO" however there are GPS locator apps for your phone. Several differnet ones.. You can use one of them to get your Lat and Long. write them down (or copy to a memo pad) then go out of the park to a Wi-Fi Hot Spot and give 'em the location. They can feed that into their on board nav system and .. DING you are there.

Try a Google search as follows: how to track a cell phone location free
Another possibility?
Could you not give them your navigation info; latitude and longitude from your phone, and have them track you using that info.?
