I have two laptops (Toshiba and HP) and work on a 3rd (HP) the first two are Win-8.1 upgraded to 10, the last is 10 out of the box.

All 3 Cortana works just fine. If I choose to waste my time with her (I normally use a different search engine.. one of several)

ya I liked the one finger scroll, now I keep my passwords handy.

My main irritant since downloading windows 10 is trying to my screen from going black after a minute of inactivity, maddening when reading. I have screen saver, sleep, hibernate, all that stuff turned off but the screen still goes black. Any ideas haven't had any luck searching for a solution.

Well so far I have been on the phone with HP support for 2 hrs just trying how to get the one finger scroll to work like my old laptop. When we apply the one finger scroll in control panel it works until I restart the computer. I haven't even gotten to to my other questions.

A friend installed Windows 10 on his desktop that he used for his business. The monitor quit working and he spent more than 10 hours working with Microsoft trying to get it back up. He finally bought a MAC. I've also heard people at work say that they couldn't get their printers to work after the install.

My wifes computer froze up on the install, cost us to have it fixed at staples and installed.
