At the CG do you mainly use the CG showers or your RV's?

Last time we were at a CG I noticed quite a few CG showers, you had to introduce quarters to take a shower.
How many of Y'all use the CG showers? Do some of you Exclusively use your RV's shower?

We paid for the RV so we use it.

Unfortunately when you want to take a shower in your RV in the worst way ... like when sweaty/dusty/dirty while boondock camping out in the middle of nowhere ... that's when you really have to take it easy with the shower water.

Our small rig is rated for carrying a lot more weight than we actually load it up with, so I wish it's freshwater capacity was larger than it's stock 45 gallons so that we could use it's shower less conservatively or more often when we need it most. It seems like many RV manufacturers skimp too much on tank sizes.

We typically use the campground shower if it is clean and available. Why use a shower with limited space and limited hot water when you have already paid for large showers and virtually unlimited hot water in your campground fee?
If we are at a campground without showers, then of course we have no issue using the shower in the camper.
When boondocking I typically use the outside shower and the wife uses the shower in the trailer.

We haven't used a campground shower since we got a mini-home with a shower in it. That was 4 different RVs and many years ago. Our current Winnebago has a nice corner shower with plenty of room and we have never run out of hot water. The holding tanks are big enough that we can stay several days with out needing to dump. Sure don't miss those campground showers!

As full-timers, I can't believe how many people we have met or see that have nice rv's and do use the campground showers/toilets instead of their rv. Some are afraid to do dumps so never use any water. One couple we know uses the tub/shower for storage and has never showered in their rv. We had to show them they could fill their tank and pump water (didn't know they had a pump) at a facility with electric only. It's mind boggling sometimes.

I don't understand why anyone with an RV would shower in the CG showers.

Why pay for something and not use all of it?

We mostly camp at state parks with only electric hookups, and we still shower in our rig. That's what hoses, fresh water canisters, and gray water totes are for.

Holy moly, my campground shower days ended when I stopped tent camping.

There is a reason I bought a TT with a shower and it was not so I could use the CG shower.

Well ours is a 5th wheel, but the size and location of the shower was checked for sure. Holding tank size also we have gone a week taking Navy style showers.
I like not having to wear sandals in the shower, and stepping out to a dry floor. Not worrying about my dry cloths falling to the wet floor.

We tend to use the shower house if it's in decent shape. Years of camping out in older units with inadequate facilities made it automatic to head that way. We're still settling in to the Zinger so I won't be surprised if we begin using it more especially when cooler weather sets in.

I use the CG bathhouse. It's too much of a pain to have to go dump and refill constantly to use the ones in the trailer.

I believe the OP is interested in what folks are doing now, not 6-10 years ago.

If the showerhouse is well maintained and clean, then I will use it. The DW always showers in the travel trailer. If the showerhouse is not in good shape, then I too use the travel trailer.

I have no choice as I have no bathroom facility in the trailer. It was challenging last week in Maine when the temps dropped and the shower house was cold and the shower just warm. So glad to be back to my bathroom at home now! Had a great trip however, wouldn't trade it.

Laundries in CG are also not very clean. We washed clothes at Topsail State Park Santa Rosa,Fl and our clothes came out with axle grease on them.

And Army. I completely agree if I wanted to use camp area facilities I would not have paid for those accoutrements in my MH.

We use our MH shower when at all possible. Those in campgrounds, Hmmm I don not know what has been on those seats. I do know my wife's bottom is not a medical condition waiting to spread.
