bathtub replacement with shower

Has anyone replaced the old bathtub/shower unit with a new shower unit? Is a drop in unit available? Getting tired of stepping into tub to take a shower. Thanks

I think it's certainly doable with residential fixtures but it's going to be a custom job for someone who is a very good DIY'r.

Don't know what you have. In a class C you won't get a drop in through the door. You could get a shower base and a plastic wall surround to replace tub. I have the same situation, in the process of replacing shower diverter now. Wall surround was just attached with a few screws and two sided tape, pretty flimsy. I use the tub for extra storage when traveling down the road.
