Best grill for RVing?

I have seen just a few comments on the use of grills while camping. I currently use a smokey joe, but with the wind at the beach it is a pain sometimes to start. Thinking of going to a gas grill but I don't know much about them. Any suggestions. Something more or less compact, not a full size one.

Baby Q for us. We usually only have the 2 of us on the road but have cooked for 6 with no problemo.

The portable 20# that we hook up to is our 3rd bottle in case we run out in our TC.

At home we have the big unit on the upper deck for daily BBQ's but when we have a smaller group on the lower patio, we set up the baby Q. Works great.

Weber Baby Q here. I cook for 4-5 on it reguarly while camping. Strip steaks, pork chops, chicken breasts, pork tenderloins, burgers, dogs, etc. It handles it all. Just big enough to not be hard to store but large enough for a decent size group. When my house grill dies, I'll be buying a Q220 for home use.

Coleman road trip for me. I like the fact it has its own stand. I can put the griddle plate on it for breakfast as well. So far I have no complaints.

Another vote for weber 220. Like the little extra height for taller items.

Love my Weber Smokey Joes.

I have a 14 inch Gold and an 18 inch Platinum. I sold my Silver that I got when I was first married - just too many Webers, too little time.

In my opinion the OP already has the "Best grill for RVing."

We got one as a wedding gift in 1980. We use every year. Last year we finally had to replace the cooking grate. Still looks like new.

I just finished outfitting my new Weber Q 120 to run correctly off the low pressure LP quick connect system that came with my trailer. It works great!!

No more buying the small LP tanks or having to dispose of them. I have a long enough hose (15') to move the grill under my awning when it rains.

I'm currently running a T off my 30# tanks, but want to switch to a low pressure outlet on the rear of my rig. Can you tell me where you got the quick connect hose with the correct 1/4" male threaded adapter for the Weber? Pm me if you like so not to hijack the post.

I make my own fire starters with wax and saw dust in an egg carton. I break off one section and use that instead of paper in my chimney starter, burns long and hot and I have no problems getting the charcoal going.

Been thru 4-5 different ones over the years then used up the points on a Credit Card I was closing and got the Webber Q220. I'm sold! I think anything in the Q line will make you happy. Get what fits your storage/budget/family and get on down the road.

This will solve your problem

X2 using the chimney you will never have another problem lighting your fire. You will never use lighter fluid again and wonder why you haven't started using it sooner.

I love my Weber Baby Q Model 120. It cooks for 4 to 6 with no problem and it stores nicely in the basement of my RV. The Q200 is to tall to fit in my basement.
