Big Time RV! on Travel Channel

Lazy Daze is behind "Big Time RV!" on Travel Channel tonight. I had my hopes up.

What an insult to the average RV'er, IMHO. Words escape me as to what a disaster this program is. Worse than the RV 2014/2013/2012... with the hostess than has never previously seen an RV.

That's exactly my impression.

If I'm going to watch an RV show, I want to see rigs similar to mine, or at least in my price range. I don't want to have my nose rubbed in the fact that I'm not one of the 1%.

We used to watch the travel channel all the time...when they actually showed travel shows.

Now it's basically QVC for travel with paid sponsers from hotels and destinations. RV's are just the latest.

There was an article in the local paper the other day about the show, said they had made 6, and if enough people liked it they may consider doing more. Here's one that hopes that doesn't happen.

Right on que, early in the show, drama unfolds with the unrealistic deadline to finish mods on a high-end motorhome. Guess what? They got the new cabinets installed just as the prospective buyers walked up. Same script as all the other reality shows.

I saw the preview on tv announcing the new series and showing a small clip. I decided from that it was a fluff infomercial piece about high end rigs and not to go out of my way to watch. Forgot about it and missed it, sounds like my first impression was spot on. Looks like I didn't miss much.

How about the guy who gets quoted $986,000 for a used Prevost and masterfully, while driving down the highway negotiates the price down to $975,000. Wow slightly more than a 1% discount. This was a guy who supposedly made millions selling his business. The whole show sorely misrepresents the industry true sales practices. Lazy Days RV shame on you. Now we know you have the worst prices anywhere. I smell fake actors pretending to be reality. Perhaps this supposed to be the Jackass version of an RV show.

all it was a big puff infomercial, although did;nt hear the name mention much. like prev poster just like all those others RV shows. wonder how much they paid for that? don't see where it will help normal sales at all
